The TV reality show about the not-so-real life of model Lara Bingle delivered Ten an adjusted audience of 786,000 viewers nationally last night.
Or, in simple terms, it makes the score: Lara Bingle 1, the Lara Bingle Haters 0.
The result for episode two of Being Lara Bingle represents a drop of only 139,000 viewers from the week before, consistent with most TV programs which settle slightly after their first night.
Ten will proclaim the series a hit, and in real terms - particularly for Ten, where most successful shows live in the 750,000 to 950,000 audience band - they would be right.
The series launched last week to an audience of 925,000.
The minute-by-minute ratings for episode one showed wild fluctuations, indicating that while people were watching, they were also channel surfing in and out of the show.
As a result, there are sharp spikes and troughs across the half hour. That isn't ideal, but it is not uncommon with some TV programs.
Last night's peak audience was 1.23 million, and while Ten will use the number to shape perception of the show as a hit, that specific number isn't indicative of anything, except perhaps a lack of stickiness on the part of the audience.
