LARA AND SAM HIT THE RED CARPET TOGETHER AT THE AACTA AWARDS

Lara Bingle and Sam Worthington have made their first official red carpet debut as an item at the AACTA Awards.

The pair, who have quickly become Australia's hottest new couple, hit the ruby rug at The Star in Sydney, looking loved up but avoiding too much media attention.

Worthington quickly skewered any personal questions from Sydney Confidential's Jonathan Moran, preferring to keep the focus on his new capacity as executive producer of upcoming Foxtel miniseries, Deadline Gallipoli.

When asked if Lara would be making a film debut of her own in the near future, the Avatar actor intervened, saying: "It depends, what are you talking about? You can't ask her questions like that." He then protectively swept her away.

The glam couple certainly looked the part, Worthington dressed in a slim-fitting Louis Vuitton suit and Bingle wearing a full-length black number with big, bell sleeves by her favoured designer, Ellery.

The 26-year-old model posted this photo on her Instagram account yesterday, along with the caption "Fitting with Dion", leading fans to believe they were getting a sneak peek at the frock she would be wearing to the star-studded event. The sexy snap quickly garnered more than 20,000 likes.

The caption refers to leading Aussie designer Dion Lee.

LARA AND SAM SET TO MAKE THEIR FIRST MAJOR PUBLIC APPEARANCE TOGETHER

Sam Worthington and Lara Bingle are expected to make their first big public appearance together this week.

The new couple, which has been playing games with media as to whether or not they've married in secret, is understood to be walking the red carpet at the AACTA Awards at the Star Event Centre on Thursday.

Organisers confirmed Worthington, a NIDA graduate and star of films including Avatar, Terminator Salvation and Clash of the Titans, had RSVP'd to the event.

And Bingle is expected to attend as his date.

A who's who of Australian film and television will attend the Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts (AACTA) Awards.

LARA AND SAM SPOTTED WEARING WEDDING RINGS

The games continue from Lara Bingle and Sam Worthington with the couple still flaunting their wedding rings but refusing to confirm whether or not they've tied the knot.

The sometime-model socialite and her actor beau have spent the past few days in Sydney, understood to have been catching up with Bingle's family, after months travelling the world five star.

They were spotted dining at Fratelli with Bingle's mum Sharon, and were seen playing games with paparazzi hiding then showing their wedding ring fingers.

Bingle has a reputation for wearing a ring on her wedding finger, often when she needs press to garner attention in the media.

But it is the fact Worthington is wearing a ring, and showing it, that is considered somewhat confirmation finally that the couple has wed after just a few months dating.

Bingle's management said the model would not comment.

LARA AND SAM ESCAPE TO THE MALDIVES

It's the ultimate honeymoon destination - and Lara Bingle and Sam Worthington are there.

The hot couple, rumoured to be engaged, are in the midst of a romantic holiday, in the Maldives and are said to be staying at the luxury Sixth Senses resort.

Bingle has been uploading images of herself swimming in crystal clear water with bright blue skies as a backdrop, alongside the caption, "somewhere in the Indian Ocean".

The news comes just days after Bingle's best friend posted a picture on her Instagram site of the model at what looked to be a wedding reception.

The suggestive image appeared on VickiLee's site next to the comment, "Here comes the bride, all dressed in bikini @mslbingle."

While many would imagine 'open book' Bingle would be all for a highly publicised big white wedding, Worthington is much more private, leading people to believe they have tied the knot in a secret ceremony.

The Avatar actor and his socialite girlfriend have been inseparable after meeting in New York in September, Bingle is due to return to Sydney early next week.

LARA: 'I'M QUITTING AUSTRALIA' - WOMAN'S DAY REPORTS

She's made a living out of courting controversy, but Lara Bingle says she's finally over the drama and wants to move away from Australia.

The Aussie model, who just yesterday took a hit from Kyly Boldy, the wife of her former fiance Michael Clarke, has revealed she's ready to pack her bags and head overseas with current boyfriend Sam Worthington.

"Sydney's my home but I don't like it," she reportedly told a Woman's Day photographer last week. "I can't even go to the supermarket without getting papped [snapped by paparazzi]. I don't like the attention.

"Sam hates it," the 26-year-old adds. "We don't get any peace."

The potential move away from her home country is ironic, given the bikini-clad beauty was made famous by the "Where the bloody hell are you?" tourism campaign back in 2006.

Bingle's privacy complaints come as a surprise as the avid social media user regularly posts intimate shots of herself and Worthington, 37, on Instagram.

Until recently, Bingle seemed to have made peace with the paparazzi, accepting they were part of her job and even using them to make money.

In 2011, Bingle reportedly struck a deal with photo agency Big Pictures to profit from sales of paparazzi photos of herself.

"They're outside my house most days," she told pedestrian.tv at the time.

"I used to get frustrated but now I understand that I have a job, they have a job, and it's just that. Now when I'm launching something I kind of need everyone to come together. Everyone has a job and everyone works together. As much as I get frustrated and embarrassed I just have to suck it up I guess."

And who could forget the 2012 reality show Being Lara Bingle, where TV cameras followed her every move around the clock?

But it seems the blonde beauty has finally had enough. Or perhaps she's decided to put love before fame.

CRYPTIC IMAGE ON INSTAGRAM STARTS SPECULATION THAT LARA AND SAM HAVE TIED THE KNOT

UPDATE - Lara is not or has not married Sam Worthington in a beach ceremony, her rep confirms.

Has Lara Bingle walked down the aisle in a secret beach wedding?

That's the question being asked online after Bingle's best friend, Vicki Lee, posted a cryptic image on Instagram today.

The shot showed Bingle standing in a revealing bikini at a beach wedding setup with the caption: "Here comes the bride, all dressed in bikini @mslbingle".

It sparked online speculation Bingle and Hollywood action star boyfriend Sam Worthington may have wed in private.

Later, Bingle commented on the image: "It's vicki and my wedding :)".

Bingle, 26, met Worthington, 37, in New York in September and the pair has been inseparable since.

They've been in Western Australia this week enjoying the summer weather, posting images of themselves holidaying on a multi-million dollar super yacht.

"I can't stop smiling, my cheeks are hurting," Bingle has said of the budding romance.

"Sam is an awesome guy. I am happy, we are happy. He is the most awesome guy, Australians are just really down to earth, very protective and it is nice to have someone around like that."

LARA AND PALS SOAK UP THE WESTERN AUSTRALIAN SUN

As Perth sweated through 39C heat yesterday, Lara Bingle and her friends cooled off on a luxury boat at Rottnest Island.

Bingle, in Perth with Rockingham-raised boyfriend Sam Worthington for the filming of Paper Planes, spent the day relaxing with Emmi Moore and Nadia Rosa.

Rosa, daughter of Heath Ledger's stepmother Ines, and WA model Moore - who is engaged to West Coast Eagles star Chris Masten - were pictured on Instagram sunning themselves on deck.

"Oh what a life . . . you are nailing the good life," one comment said.

WA model Moore is helping promote the Heath Ledger Foundation by modelling fundraising T-shirts made in memory of the late actor.

Bingle and Rosa have spent much of the past week together. Worthington and Bingle were pictured having dinner with the Ledger family, including Rosa, at the weekend.

The glamour couple were rumoured to have seen in the new year in Perth.

Bingle has made her life very public through Instagram and pictures of her at Rottnest attracted more than 9000 likes. She posted a photo from underneath the boat depicting a ray of sunlight at the end of a sea green body of water.

She also posted an image of herself and her posse sitting at a long and immaculately set table inside the boat, with the caption "West Oz".

The Sydney-born fashion model recently attracted controversy when she blasted FAMOUS magazine for what she said were fake photos of her with cellulite.
