LARA AND NICK SURVICE FIRST RELATIONSHIP HURDLE... SHE MET HIS PARENTS!

Lara Bingle has survived the first major relationship hurdle, meeting her new beau Nick Cohen's family.

The 25-year-old model attended The Intersection Paddington’s VIP shopping night yesterday fresh of a flight from New York City, where she attended the wedding of Cohen’s brother, Pete.

"We had his brother’s wedding over there which was amazing," Bingle told Confidential. "I’m pretty exhausted but the trip was great."

Australian model Elyse Taylor was also among the guests at the nuptials, which were held at Central Park’s Boathouse last week.

Bingle said she didn’t even have time to shop thanks to her commitments shooting Australian chain Cotton On’s new campaign and spending time with the DJ.

The reality star joined Pip Edwards and Hayden Quinn at the OK! Magazine shopping event, which saw labels such as Zimmermann, Scanlan & Theodore and Rachel Gilbert offer discounts on their current collections.

JOIN THE BOWEL MOVEMENT: LARA AND SHARON BINGLE

Lara and Sharon Bingle know the tragedy of losing a loved one to bowel cancer. Father and husband Graham was only in his early 50s when he died from the disease. Lara's grandfather also died of bowel cancer. Screening is important - it can save lives.

MUM'S FAITH IN LARA

Lara Bingle’s mum has given her stamp of approval to her daughter’s relationship with DJ Nick Cohen — even though she’s never met him.

Sharon Bingle told Confidential she had faith in her daughter’s choice of bloke, and said she was having a great time in the US.

"I have not met the boy", she said at yesterday’s launch of Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. "As long as my daughter’s happy, I’m happy."

Bingle was supposed to attend the event, of which she and Sharon are ambassadors, but was delayed in New York where she is shooting a campaign for Cotton On.

LARA EYES PRIVATE TIME

A new boyfriend, a new business venture and a new series.

Lara Bingle says she could have it all but wants to be more private this year.

The model is adamant she has an option to do a second series of reality show Being Lara Bingle - although Channel 10 says there is "nothing planned at this stage".

Last month new Ten boss Hamish McLennan said there would be no more reality flops like The Shire and Being Lara Bingle as they "didn't really reflect who we wanted to be".

But Bingle is ever hopeful she might get a second reality run, telling Confidential: "They have asked me to do it again, later in the year when my designs and my brand come out. Personally I'd like to not have my personal life out there so much. Last year was a big year and for my family and friends, it creates a lot of pressure. So I'm not saying no."

"As much as it's my show there's a lot of emotion to take care of before I can say yes. It's not just about me."

Speaking before she flew to New York on Friday, where new lover DJ Nick Cohen lives, Bingle said she would continue to fly back and forth between the two cities.

"I lived in New York for a while; it’s my second home," Bingle said.

"Obviously my boyfriend lives there and I live in Sydney, so I’m on a plane every second week."

"Ask me in five years though and I might be over it. But he has a house there, and we have a place in the Hamptons."

Bingle, the face of Cotton On, recently shot the retailer’s new campaign with Tyler Atkins, designer Didier Cohen and Bambi Northwood-Blyth.

"They’re kind of like a family to me. We’ve been creating a relationship for over a year now and it’s a growing company," Bingle said.

Fingers crossed!!! My schedule is really busy right now so no plans at this stage but lots of things in the pipeline!

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH LARA FOR COTTON ON

Lara Bingle is back on deck for Cotton On's Autumn/Winter collection launch — this time swapping her social media reporter title for leading lady in front of the camera.

She joins co-horts Bambi Northwood Blythe, Didier Cohen and Tyler Atkins on location around Sydney for the street-style inspired "Follow Me 24/7" campaign shoot, which was lensed by local photographer Will Davidson.

She said of the call up, "It has been such a great experience hanging out with the Cotton On team again. The new campaign involves Bambi, Tyler and Didier, so it's just like catching up with old friends when we shoot." And the theads? Think super-wearable, off-duty basics with an edge.

Get a sneak peek at the shoot shenanigans before this new drop lands in-store and online in July.
