LARA BINGLE FALLS ILL IN NEW YORK

Lara Bingle's winter wonderland holiday in New York has taken a turn for the worse, with the bikini babe falling ill.

The swimsuit model has been kicking up her heels in the Big Apple with close mate Hermione Underwood.

After a couple of days enjoying the snow-bound city, Twitter-fan Bingle sent a two-word message about her tale of woe: "Sooo sick."

LARA BINGLE'S NEW YEARS RESOLUTION

Photobucket

After what can only be described as a tough year for her, model Lara Bingle, the former fiance of cricketer Michael Clarke, is hoping for a more upbeat 2011.

Bingle, 23, celebrated Christmas in New York yesterday with her close friend Hermione Underwood.

And earlier in the week, we snapped the pretty blonde dressed-down and heading out for lunch with a group of friends in Los Angeles (photo above).

"It's been a monumental year for me, and I'm really excited to begin another," Bingle said of her plans and hopes for the coming year.

"If all goes to plan, it will be my best new year yet."

Like most of us, Bingle has set herself some goals and resolutions for 2011.

"It's about moving forward, not backwards," she said. "Leaving the bad - people, habits and negative energy - behind. A time to make changes, right?"

IS LARA RETURNING TO TV ON DANCING WITH THE STARS?

Lara Bingle could be poised to make a return to TV after she was approached to appear in the next series of Dancing With The Stars.

Bingle, the former face of Speedo, has been without a TV role since her contract with Nine ended in 2007.

While she has been asked to trip the light fantastic - and said no - on four previous occasions, sources say this time she is giving the offer some serious thought.

Dancing is unlikely to be at the front of Bingle's mind this week, however, with the single model soaking up the sun in Hawaii before flying into Los Angeles with her BFF Hermione Underwood on Tuesday.

The pair hit the town yesterday, having a starstruck moment when they came across newlywed Nicole Richie, as well as actors Jennifer Garner and Johnny Knoxville in the department store Barneys.

The encounter prompted Underwood to skite on Twitter: "Shopping with Nicole Richie #nobiggie."

Bingle will be in the US until early in the new year.

LARA BINGLE'S OVERSEAS TRIP

After a rough couple of weeks, in which she discovered Speedo had replaced her, Lara Bingle is heading overseas to regroup.

We can reveal the model has bought a ticket to the US and is due to leave Australia with a girlfriend next weekend.

"Lara's just having a holiday and she'll take a couple of meetings in LA and New York," manager Titus Day said.

WHY THE BLOODY HELL ARE THEY SO MEAN TO LARA BINGLE?

Exactly what heinous crime against the free world did Lara Bingle commit?

In a celebrity-obsessed town where crime figures become celebrities and starlets vie for media attention, no matter how banal or tawdry, Bingle has learnt the hard way that not all publicity is good publicity.

Her private life has been turned upside down, her most personal details served up for public consumption, she is chased by paparazzi every day and had her photos digitally altered to give a false impression she was having a relationship with someone. She has even been romantically linked to her gay interior decorator, and in OK magazine this week her ''mystery new hunk'' turned out to be her brother, Josh.

''It's really embarrassing … my family don't think it's very funny any more but what can I do?'' she asked PS this week.

Probably the most damning was the suggestion her image was no longer wholesome. At 23, all she ever wanted to do was pursue a career as a model, go shopping her girlfriends and find ''Mr Right''. How unwholesome is that?

Having weathered a year's worth of scandalous headlines and sensational stories, the majority of which she says are untrue, Bingle now faces the prospect of losing a $250,000 modelling contract with Speedo, despite the fact her name is constantly in the news and she is tipped for big things next year, including Dancing with the Stars.

''I thought things were getting back on track after a rough couple of months and boom, here it comes again,'' Bingle told PS at Tuesday night's swanky Moet party for the premiere of Love & Other Drugs.

Speedo denies it plans to dump her, however the company has hired Rachael Finch as its new face, a title previously held by Bingle.

Still mourning the loss of her father to cancer a little over two years ago, this year her engagement to the cricketer Michael Clarke ended in April - the coverage of which bordered on the absurd, such as who would get custody of the pet dogs to reports, since denied, that she flushed a $200,000 diamond engagement ring down the toilet.

She has been linked to six different men since breaking up with Clarke, including Kyle Sandilands, to which her manager, Titus Day, responded bluntly: ''Do you really think that is very likely?''

Yes, PS admits to having featured Bingle for crimes against fashion and the occasional social faux pas, but she has always taken it in her stride and with considerable grace.

''I can laugh at myself and don't mind a joke but this is getting to the point where I am constantly under attack and most of it is just made up. ''Even when I say it's not true they just go ahead and publish it but they never say who their sources are.'

Lara Bingle broke her silence yesterday and hit back at her critics.

Bingle tweeted, saying she would not be daunted by what people said about her.

"People think your success is just a matter of having a pretty face. But it's easy to be chewed up and spat out," she wrote.

"What people say isn't going to stop me.

"I have to do things for myself. You've got to stay ahead of the game to be able to stay in it.

"I have made some of the best friends that I've got in this business."

LARA WISHES SPEEDO ALL THE BEST

Photobucket

Lara Bingle and swimwear label Speedo are now said to have parted ways.

But it wasn't until last night the company reportedly told Bingle her contract, rumoured to be $250,000, was over. Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph at the V8 Supercar races yesterday, Bingle, 23, said she was hurt and surprised Speedo had replaced her with Finch.

She said the company had refused to respond to her calls during the week.

"I wish Speedo all the best. It's a great Aussie brand that I was fortunate to be associated with for so long," she said.

"I've got lots of exciting opportunities awaiting. I'm really excited about the future."

"It's been a good relationship. It's just time to move on now," Speedo marketing manager Tiffany Scott said.

But it seems Speedo has told a different story to Bingle's manager Titus Day, who last night received a email from Ms Scott saying Bingle would remain with the brand.

"As far as we are concerned, we still have an agreement with Speedo" Day said. He was told by Ms Scott that the contract was in fact not over, but that Bingle would now share duties with Finch.

LARA BINGLE TREADS WATER WITH SPEEDO

Lara Bingle has been shelved by her major sponsor, Speedo.

The swimwear label is signing fresh-faced former Miss Universe Australia Rachael Finch as its latest ambassador.

The 23-year-old Bingle's $250,000-a-year contract with the Australian beachwear brand has been jeopardised by the introduction of Finch, who will next week shoot Speedo's summer campaign.

Bingle, who has spent the past two months preparing to star in the campaign -- her third -- is on contract with Speedo until May.

Finch's management agency, IMG World, yesterday confirmed its client's recently struck relationship with Speedo.

Speedo's decision to bring the beauty queen onboard has sparked speculation that Bingle's contract is unlikely to be renewed.

Insiders yesterday maintained that Finch fit the Speedo brief "perfectly" because of her down-to-earth, summery nature.

"They wanted someone more wholesome and not so entwined in saga," one source said.

Bingle's manager, Titus Day, said the model remained on Speedo's books. "Lara has always had a good relationship with Speedo and still has six months to run on her current contract," he said.

"When the time comes we'll look at her options. Until then she remains the face of Speedo."

In August Speedo confirmed Bingle would shoot their summer campaign.

"She's a really beautiful girl and really does embody that outdoors, Australian beach girl. She'll be great for the campaign," Speedo marketing manager Tiffany Scott said at the time.

Speedo marketing manager Tiffany Scott said yesterday she was "not in a position to comment" on either Finch or Bingle.

However, an announcement of Bingle's future is expected to arrive in the coming days.

It is understood Bingle was not aware of Finch's signing.

LARA BINGLE'S NEW LOOK

Showing off her newly cropped locks, Lara Bingle met the black tie dress code with perfection at last night's GQ Man of the Year Awards.

Rocking up in a Dion Lee jacket and self styled, "thrown together" ensemble, Lara cut a suave new look - another sign Bingle is working hard to resurrect her modelling career.

The new look comes just days after the ex-WAG was photographed on Sydney Harbour enjoying a day out with friends in a daring see-through outfit that left little to the imagination.

Bingle almost stole the show from top gong winner Ryan Kwanten who sizzled on the Opera House ruby rug in Ralph Lauren, saying he will spend more time in the air than on the ground in coming days.

LARA BINGLE SERENADES DERULO?

Lara Bingle has added fuel to reports that she is romantically entangled with US singer, Jason Derulo.

It seems that serial ladies man Jason Derulo made more of an impression on Lara Bingle than we all thought if the bikini model's recent musical tribute to the US singer is anything to go by.

In a candid YouTube video uploaded by best friend, Hermione Underwood, the svelte bikini model is seen lip-synching to the R&B singer's hit song, 'Ridin' Solo'.

Derulo - later posted the video link on his Twitter.

Bingle's YouTube tribute to Derulo follows on from their reported romantic tryst after the pair met while co-hosting at the recent ARIA awards.

Enjoying several dates around Sydney, Derulo later invited Bingle to be a guest at one of his Brisbane show, with the pair reportedly spending the weekend together.

Despite the singer telling a Brisbane radio station that Bingle was "A very nice girl . . . just friends" a revealing tweet sent as he left the country says otherwise: "Why is it that 'Hello's' are so much easier than 'Goodbye's'?"

Bingle's lip-synching video comes at the same time as reports that she may be a contestant on the new season of Dancing with the Stars.

Channel 7 spokespeople have yet to confirm the casting but other possible contenders include Kate Ritchie and Terri Irwin.

She has previously appeared on Dancing On Ice.

IS LARA BINGLE'S SPEEDO DEAL NOT SET IN STONE?

The next fortnight is crucial for Lara Bingle, as her Speedo contract hangs in the balance.

Insider has heard murmurs that the all-important spring/summer campaign deal is still unconfirmed.

The blonde, whose contract with the sportswear company expires next year, has shot both of her Speedo campaigns in late November and early December since she signed on in 2008.

But this year, there has been a delay, and representatives for the brand have been unable to confirm to Insider the model is definitely to star in next year's campaign.

The brand, which stood by Bingle during her highly-publicised nude photo scandal, is meeting on Monday to discuss the deal.

Bingle's manager Titus Day said the company tended to announce the shoot just before it went ahead.

"Lara normally gets the call for the shoot a week beforehand, so it's usually very last minute; that's just the way they [Speedo] like to work," he said.

Either way, Bingle has been a dedicated ambassador for the brand of late, spending time at the beach clad in their current summer swimwear pieces.

As for her fleeting romance with visiting singer Jason Derulo earlier this month, it seems the flame hasn't completely died for the smitten ARIA co-hosts.

Last week friend Hermione Underwood uploaded a candid video of herself and Bingle singing the R&B star's hit single Ridin' Solo onto YouTube, which Derulo later posted on his Twitter account.

LARA BINGLE'S CRUISE OUTING

Lara Bingle converged on Sydney Harbour for a day out with friends yesterday, turning up for a boat cruise in a see-through outfit that left little to the imagination.

Dressed in a sheer black corset, Bingle bared plenty of cleavage, and occasionally much more, in full view of the public.

At least it was the weather for it, as she basked on the bow of the boat while celebrating a friend's birthday.

Bingle and her cruise buddies sailed Sydney Harbour for most of the day, stopping off near Taronga Zoo and Manly.

She finally alighted at Rose Bay, before the wind whipped up and ruined a spectacular spring day.

Bingle has been working hard to resurrect her modelling career, which stalled during the beginning of the year.

Inside the next fortnight, Bingle is due to shoot a swimwear campaign for Speedo, one of her oldest clients.

Model Lara Bingle may have been through one of the most turbulent years of her young life, but she is determined to treat it as an opportunity to grow.

“It has been an amazing learning year for me,” she says. “I feel independent and more self-aware than I was in the beginning. I believe it has helped me grow as a person and that is the most important thing in my eyes.”

The 23-year-old endured a flurry of tabloid headlines in March, after the unauthorised publication of a nude photograph, followed by intense media scrutiny during the subsequent collapse of her relationship with former fiancé, Australian Test cricket vice-captain Michael Clarke.

“The headlines are what they are,” says Lara. “Although many have been inaccurate, I just take them in my stride and try to have a sense of humour about it all.

“People perceive me in the way the media chooses to paint me. I am just doing what I love and I feel blessed to be able to do that and be given extraordinary opportunities along the way.”

And she’s looking forward to a family Christmas. “I love giving presents,” says Lara, “especially to my family and friends. I am very particular about the wrapping. There’s nothing better than receiving a well-wrapped present.

“In a perfect world, I would love to have a white Christmas this year. I’d love to go away overseas with my mum and brother.”

LARA BINGLE'S SUMMER PROJECTS

Photobucket

Insider reports say that although there were talks some months back, Bingle will not be filling in for radio presenter Jackie O, who goes on maternity leave shortly. She was called in at the last minute to replace O on Friday morning when O called in sick on Thursday night, with reports she had spent the night at the Mater Hospital.

"Lara is definitely not doing the show when Jackie goes," a well-informed radio insider says.

While Kyle Sandilands's manager Andrew Hawkins would not divulge any further information - "we can't say who it is" - word has it that Sophie Monk is definitely a frontrunner for keeping the 2DayFM seat warm.

Either way, Bingle has plenty to occupy her over summer. She is working on a make-up book with friend Max May and keeping fit with interior-designer buddy Jason Sullivan, as well as being involved in several overseas projects.

LARA: "I KNOW I'VE MADE MISTAKES"

The secluded beach is shrouded in soft drizzle and storm clouds are brewing, dark and moody in the distance.

Except for a lone fisherman on the rocks, the shore is empty as we wait for Australia’s most infamous ‘It’ girl, Lara Bingle – the quintessential beach babe whose life has, rightly or wrongly, been plagued with controversy since she first emerged as the face of Tourism Australia’s global advertising campaign in 2006.

Bingle’s coming to set the record straight after months of reading untrue stories about herself in the media.

The most recent was in Grazia magazine.

Having happily worked with the weekly fashion magazine on many occasions, the 23-year-old was surprised when it printed a bogus photo that showed her leaving an apartment with close friend Dion Anthony and falsely stated there was something more to their relationship.

In actual fact, two pictures had been taken at different times and doctored to look as if it was the same moment.

To make matters worse, Grazia went on to insinuate that Bingle had let herself go, which was completely untrue and a strange statement considering her lifelong passion for staying fit and healthy.

With all that front of mind, we’re expecting her to turn up for our interview and fashion shoot (which, for the record, involved no money whatsoever changing hands) as stormy as the clouds overhead.

It turns out, we needn’t have worried; she’s all smiles and small talk as she prepares to be photographed.

Petite and athletic, Bingle is the picture of health, and a good sport, too.

Is she bothered about the biting wind whipping around her tiny white dress, or the soft sand her towering heels are sinking into? Not a bit. She’s strong and has a surprising maturity about her.

"At 23, I feel like I’ve already lived 10 lives," she says, with a wry laugh.

Which isn’t surprising; this has been an undeniably tough year for her, ever since she split from her fiancé, cricketer Michael Clarke, amid a cloud of mystery, and her private life became front-page news.

Since then, her every move has been monitored or made up, including the latest suggestion she’s involved with radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands. Yet she remains philosophical.

"I appreciate that there’s interest and speculation about my personal life and I don’t begrudge that at all," she shrugs.

"I just value good company and I won’t let gossip interfere with having positive people in my life. I feel lucky to be me. But I'm honest enough to admit I'm still learning, and I've made a few mistakes along the way."

When she and Clarke paired up in 2007, they fast became the nation’s golden couple, but that world was shattered earlier this year, when Woman’s Day published a nude photo of Bingle in the shower, taken by serial bad-boy Brisbane Lions forward Brendan Fevola.

While some sought to criticise her, others saw her as a victim of a horrible breach of trust, a young woman taken advantage of.

"I felt very upset and as humiliated as any girl would feel if that happened to them," she says quietly.

She says she never wanted him to take the photo.

"I may be an easy target, but it doesn’t make it morally or legally acceptable."

She and Clarke split just a few days after the photo was made public in March, and the rumour mill went into overdrive, churning out stories of a ring flushed down the toilet (false), huge payouts (also false) and general damage-control from both camps.

Not knowing where to turn, a naïve Bingle sought the advice of Australian spin doctor Max Markson, who negotiated an exclusive tell-all with Woman’s Day – the very magazine that had played a part in humiliating her – and Bingle was criticised for taking a deal said to be worth more than $200,000.

"If my dad had been alive during any of the challenges I faced, I’d have handled everything differently," she says.
Her father, Graham, lost his battle with bowel cancer in May 2008, aged 55, when Bingle was just 20 years old.

They were extremely close and she was at his bedside when he passed away.

"So, I turned to someone without really understanding what was happening during a very confusing time."

Today, Bingle seems to have grown out of her naïvety, and while she feels she’s been badly treated at times, she has strategies in place to deal with the pressures of fame.

"It’s part of my job," she says.

"The best thing about the media spotlight is that it gives me the chance to give something back – including charities and supporting designers. But I feel blessed that it’s also given me extraordinary opportunities I wouldn’t have otherwise had."

And when the media gets a little tough?

"It makes me appreciate my family and friends more. By choosing this path, I have to learn to take whatever it brings – good or bad."

That acceptance means Bingle can admit to the errors of her youth ("If I’ve made any mistakes regarding my career, it’s allowing others to speak for me and not following my instincts"), but she’s adamant that her relationship with Clarke wasn’t one of them.

"We’re the best of friends," she says.

There are plenty of people who’d love to see them back together, reunited in a perfect life in their Bondi penthouse, and sparkling together at the A-list parties.

"Michael and I have amazing chemistry," she adds, blushing.

"If we seemed like a ‘golden couple’, it was because we were genuinely in love. I’ve known him for five years now and, despite everything we’ve been through, the dynamic is still there.

"We’ve both been through huge challenges, especially with our fathers and their health struggles," she says, making reference to Clarke’s dad, Les, who’s battled Hodgkin’s disease for years.

"How can you not be inspired to be a better person by someone like Michael?"

Bingle has never gone into detail about why the pair ultimately split, but blames separate lives: "It’s incredibly hard to keep a relationship going when you hardly see one another."

These days, Clarke still lives in the Bondi pad they shared, while Bingle has been settling into the modest apartment she recently bought in Sydney’s Darling Point.

It’s not a place she’s in a hurry to share. But it hasn’t deterred the romantic in her. She believes her instinct will tell her when the time is right to fall in love again.

"Right now, I’m single and happy. But I’m no wallflower and I won’t date one, either."

In the meantime, her number-one priority is work, such as her role as the face of Speedo, though she has TV projects and plans for her own fashion range in the pipeline.

Now set up with new management, she’s looking for other opportunities and taking her time to rebuild a solid, respectable career to rival that of some of our biggest modelling exports – though she maintains she’ll "never leave Australia".

"I take my profession more seriously than ever," she says.

"It's an exciting time; in the same way Elle Macpherson and Sarah Murdoch have paved the way, I’m ready to define my own path. What I can say, is that for the rest of my life I’ll be endeavouring to create and endorse products and causes that promote good health."

Whatever may come, she knows she has the support of her family, who have helped her through the roller-coaster of the past few years. She names her mum, Sharon, as her best friend.

"She’s taught me to believe women have the right to be respected."

Charity work will also remain a big focus, including her ongoing work with Bowel Cancer Australia.

"My father died from the disease because he was diagnosed too late," she explains.

"If he’d seen a doctor earlier, I believe he’d still be alive today.

"I want to be working with them for the rest of my life and, even if I don’t have a career in entertainment, I’ll still help out."

After all, something that’s become clear to her on this rocky path is how fickle fame can be.

"It can be taken away from you so quickly."

It’s a realisation that would be enough to stop a less resilient woman in her tracks.

But not Bingle. Ready to face the world again, and with a point to prove, she’s vowed to never quit striving for the happiness and satisfaction she deserves in life.

"My recent experiences – from my father’s death to the break-up with Michael – have shifted my understanding and focus," she says, her voice strong as she looks out across the water.

"Dreams don’t come true – you have to earn them. I feel back in control of that."

LARA BINGLE FOR SPEEDOS

Speedo Beach is the lifestyle sister to Speedo's performance swimwear. This season they've gone all out with their 2010/2011 campaign, presenting their bright prints, stylish swimmers and accouterments like sundresses, kaftans, and boardshorts in iconic Sydney style.

The lookbook and campaign was shot on sunny social princess and Speedos Ambassador Lara Bingle by acclaimed photographer Simon Leikias.

Styled by Harper's Bazaar Fashion Editor Christine Centenera - who also moonlights as Bingle's personal stylist - and featuring hair and makeup from Max May, the look book shoot took place at a familiar haunt for Centenera and Bingle, iconic Sydney beach Tamarama (known to locals as Glamourama due to its tendency to draw a fashionable crowd).

Exaggerated aqua seas, sizzling sand and Bingle's dark, rich tan all contribute to the photoset's heatwave appeal, while the fashion forward palette and graphic prints of Speedos' Beach collection mark the brand as one that can compete in the style, as well as sports stakes.

Lara Bingle is understandably putting all of her energy into staying fit with a major photo shoot looming on the horizon.

Bingle, spotted out and about jogging with a friend's dog this week, is understood to be in training to be in tip-top shape to shoot her next Speedo swimwear campaign - which is scheduled to happen in the coming weeks.

The Aussie model's previous campaigns have been red hot for the brand.

"She has a trainer three days a week but she does her own exercise on other days," said a friend.

"She has Sundays off though. It's part of her job to look good so it's hardly that surprising.

LARA BINGLE AND JASON SULLIVAN: POST-WORKOUT SPOTTING

Lara Bingle and new best buddy, interior designer Jason Sullivan, have a good laugh about something after their workout today.

Our guess is they were laughing about the Daily Telegraph story romantically linking Lara with Kyle Sandilands.

Must have been a slow news day on the SydConf desk.

Poor old Kyle rubbished the story on his radio show, describing himself as a “beanbag”!

So we’ve had the Sydney Morning Herald calling Russell Crowe a “couch potato” the other day and now Kyle calling himself a beanbag. Who will the chubby radar detect next?

It’s not quite the $6 million penthouse pad overlooking Bondi Beach that Lara Bingle was used to when she was dating Michael Clarke, but she looks more than happy to be moving into her very own place in Darling Point.

Former model but present interior designer, Jason Sullivan helped Lara with her move.

Lara and Jason have been catching up lately sharing some design ideas for her new place. Perhaps he recommended a Porsche would look good in the garage.

LARA MOVES INTO HER NEW APARTMENT

After taking possession of they keys to her new apartment, an excited Lara Bingle met with her new best bud, handsome interior designer Jason Sullivan, and started moving furniture into her one-bedroom Darling Point apartment.

Taking a rather unusual approach to the move, the swimwear model clearly wasn't going to let a good opportunity pass her by -- some time after Sullivan entered the apartment block the model could be clearly seen climbing on to the good looking decorator.

She had good reason.

Having lived her life in the curtainless fishbowl that was the Bondi apartment she shared with Michael Clarke, Bingle was quick to hang drapes in her new pad to block our intrusive eyes, ours included.

Sullivan didn't appear to have a ladder with him so, rather then hang the curtains in an orthodox fashion, Bingle climbed on to Sullivan's shoulders to hang them.

The pair have previosuly met over coffee and to discuss decorator plans.

LARA BINGLE SAYING NO TO GRAZIA OVER PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGE

Photobucket

It seems Lara Bingle was a tiny bit upset with Grazia magazine for photoshopping two of Oceanic Media's pictures together to show her and supposed new boyfriend Dion Anthony seemingly leaving his Bellevue Hill home together.

Denying that she and carpenter Anthony were an item, Lara had a go at the glossy magazine to the Daily Telegraph saying they hadn't left the house together nor has she ever showered or stayed over night there.

Lara said about the pictures, "All I can do is laugh - what other choice do I have?"

Being the good sport she is Lara flashed a smile at the photographer while out with a mystery man, who most defenitely hasn't been photoshopped next to her!

Update: The mystery man; is model and interior designer Jason Sullivan.

LARA FURIOUS OVER DOCTORED IMAGES

Lara Bingle has vented her fury at the glossy magazine Grazia for doctoring photographs of her.

PBL's struggling weekly fashion title combined a photograph of the 23-year-old model with a separate image of in-line skater and carpenter Dion Anthony, 30, to suggest the pair were romantically attached.

The image, which appears in the current issue, depicts a wet-haired Bingle side by side with Anthony as they leave his Bellevue Hill home.

The accompanying caption states that Bingle and Anthony left "together".

But the original set of photographs, taken on September 11 by a paparazzo who works for the picture agency Oceanic Media, show them leaving the house separately.

The pictures, sent to all media outlets, were bought by Grazia - the highest bidder - for more than $7000, according to industry sources.

Bingle, who split from cricketer Michael Clarke in March, said yesterday she was furious.

"I just have to have a sense of humour about it, because it's not even a real photo," she said.

"They've taken two separate shots, doctored the images, then photoshopped them together to make it look like we're standing next to each other.

"I can't believe they would actually go to that much effort, but there you go."

Bingle has been seen leaving Anthony's home several times in the past month, but the model strenuously denies they are an item.

Bingle is dressed in Thai fisherman's pants and a black singlet top, and her hair looked freshly washed. But she insisted she had never slept at Anthony's house or showered there.

Anthony had become a close friend and the pair spent a lot of time together, Bingle said.

"No, Dion and I are officially not an item," she said. "We're just good friends and nothing more. I'm very single and very happy right now."

When Bingle split from Clarke, she travelled to New York to escape public scrutiny.

She recently paid $880,000 for a modest Darling Point apartment and is living with her mother in Sydney's south until she moves in.

"About the picture, all I can do is laugh - what other choice do I have?" she said.

Grazia managing editor Jane Davies refused to discuss the manipulated photographs. "Our comment is that we stand by the story," Davies said.

LARA BINGLE INKS A HOME DEAL

Lara Bingle is poised to begin the next thrilling chapter of her life - mortgage-free and with a new set of tattoos - thanks to her generous payout from ex-fiance, Michael Clarke.

The swimwear model has bought her first home - a tiny 65sq m apartment - in a quiet cul-de-sac in Darling Point, just up the road from Nicole Kidman's former abode in the prestigious harbourside suburb.

Real estate sources yesterday said, while the sprawling penthouse that crowns the 1950s red brick building would be worth "over $2 million easy", the 23-year-old snagged her refurbished flat for $880,000.

Confidential hears Bingle has financed the purchase with her $600,000 settlement from Clarke, the $200,000 she pocketed from the sale of her nude photo scandal story to Woman's Day and her savings.

While she recently acquired some new ink - "Love Love" on her upper right arm, near the shoulder, and "Breath" on her finger - Confidential also hears Bingle has rarely been alone since her engagement breakdown. She has been linked to no less than three different fellas of late.
