BINGLE'S NEW MUSICAL BEAU?

Loved-up Lara Bingle stepped out with reported new boyfriend Nick Cohen on Friday night.

The happy couple looked very much into each other as they enjoyed a late dinner at Hugo's Bar Pizza before heading upstairs to Hugo's Lounge.

Cohen is an American DJ and was booked to play a two-hour set at midnight. During his time on the decks, Bingle, in trademark black, joined him in the booth for a cuddle, with a picture later tweeted by the club's VIP manager Simon Hancock.

"Rolling with @MsLaraBingle & Nick Cohen at @hugoslounge this eve...hottest couple out," Hancock wrote.

Bingle and Cohen met through mutual friends in New York on one of Bingle's recent trips to the US. The pair have know each other for a few years.

LARA NICKS INTO TOWN

Lara Bingle has been spied in Melbourne with her reported new beau, New York-based DJ Nick Cohen.

The pair was seen at South Yarra’s trendy The Olsen hotel — the hotel of choice for the likes of Justin Bieber and Serena Williams when they were in Melbourne.

It has been reported that Cohen, who was the longtime boyfriend of Alexandra Richards, recently hooked up with Bingle in the Big Apple.

Cohen will DJ at Hugo’s Kings Cross tonight.

LARA READY TO AMUSE FASHION BLOGGERS

Lara Bingle will play host to the world's leading fashion bloggers after signing on as an ambassador for Fashion Week.

She postponed a trip to Thailand to join the NSW Fashion Ambassador program and put on an afternoon of activities with US blogger Tommy Ton.

"I'm a big fan of his Jak & Jil blog and I want to take him to Cafe Sydney and the MCA," Bingle tells Insider.

"International guests tend to get bombarded when they come to town, so I want to do something outside of fashion with him."

Other top fashion identities taking part in the initiative to promote Sydney are Kym Ellery, Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett from Romance Was Born, Jessica Stein and Jess Blanch.

They'll be teamed up with international fashion stars Bryanboy, Susie Bubble, Rei Shito and Hillary Kerr respectively.

Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow at Carriageworks and Bingle will attend to support industry friends, including Christopher Esber. "He's making me a dress and I'll wear it to the show and then I'll go to Romance Was Born at night," she says.

Afterwards, Bingle will jet off to Asia for a UK magazine shoot and then to New York, where she plans on a slight change of career.

"I plan to spend a lot of time there over the next few months to study nutrition," she says.

"I haven't got a US agent right now but I have lots of friends in Manhattan so I go to get inspired and return home for work," she says.

The Fashion Ambassador program was set up by Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner to raise Sydney's fashion profile.

The idea is to try to promote Sydney as a global style destination and make the city more attractive to tourists, investors as well as international students.

It paid off last year when Bryanboy's "10 Reasons Why I Love Sydney" was viewed by 387,000 Twitter fans.

Kym Ellery plans to impress the flamboyant blogger this year by flying him on seaplane to Palm Beach's Boathouse for cocktails, then hosting a barbecue at her house afterwards.

LARA HELPS KICK-OFF FASHION WEEK

A bright Lara Bingle kicked off Australia's upcoming celebration of style today as the fashion types geared up for the launch of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on Monday.

Lara was happy to take her front row pew, with Jessica MacNamee and the crew from Vogue Australia, and said she is focusing on business plans and refining her commitments.

“My life has really started afresh and it’s a great feeling," Lara said, after chic designer Rebecca Valance took her bow at the Ananas venue in The Rocks.

“I am not looking at doing any TV at the moment as I am really consolidating a proper business plan and sticking to it."

Lara said she is heading to New York for a month in May and will then head back to Australia to unveil an underwear collection for the huge chain of Cotton On stores.

“My manager George Moskos and I are really concentrating to make the pieces really affordable, so it isn’t competing with pricier high-end designers."

Lara says the "family" atmosphere of the Cotton On company has really spurred her on and she is loving her new direction.
