LARA'S WHEELS IN MOTION

She may have been usurped by Rachael Finch as its face, but the relationship isn't quite over yet with Lara Bingle and Speedo.

Bingle, technically still the face of this summer's campaign, made an in-store appearance at the swimwear brand's Chatswood Chase store yesterday, honouring her commitments to the company ahead of her contract's expiration later this year.

But there is talk Speedo plans to keep the model on its books.

The swimwear brand's marketing manager Tiffany Scott said nothing had been decided yet, but it wasn't out of the question that Bingle would be re-signed.

"We haven't discussed it with her manager," she said.

"I think there's always a possibility with these things, but obviously we've signed Rachael Finch."

A positive Bingle told us, "I have had three big years with Speedo and I am happy to be back in Australia fulfilling my commitments.

"But as you know, all good things come to an end - some better than others. My focus is on the future, and this year already holds a lot of exciting opportunities as well as adventures," she said.

Bingle returned to Sydney last week and was soon spotted out and about taking her new Japanese pushbike for a spin.

LARA: NEW BICYCLE AND SKATER BOY

Lara Bingle is back in Sydney and has picked up a new ride.

Bingle looks proud as punch with her new set of wheels and got peddling around town, no doubt boosting her green credentials, rather then driving around in facncy cars all the time.

Bingle's been in the US recently.

LARA'S SUPPORT: LEAVE MICHAEL ALONE

It seems Lara Bingle still has a supportive soft spot for former fiancé Michael Clarke.

Bingle came to Pup's defence after he copped a hiding for playing Cupid for teammate Steven Smith, who needed a date for the Alan Border Medal.

She tweeted: "Seriously, give Michael Clarke a break . . . He is still the greatest cricketer in my eyes.

LARA BINGLE AND JASON DERULO SPEND TIME IN LA STUDIO

The Bingle-Derulo 'Are they? Aren't they?' debate continues as the model posts pictures of herself and the US singer in a recording studio on Twitter.

Bingle, who has been on a "working holiday" in America for weeks - so far visiting New York, Hawaii, Mexico, Las Vegas and LA - just can't seem to get the R'n'B hunk out of her mind; or her Twitter page.

In the latest episode of the rumoured romance, which has so far been primarily conducted via the social networking site, the model posted a set of pictures showing the pair in an LA recording studio "Making some sweet tunes".

This is the second time they've hooked-up in the US. Bingle took to Twitter last month to tell Derulo,“NO MORE SLEEPS!!!!” and then spent New Year’s Eve with him in Vegas.

The pair met after co-presenting at the ARIA Awards last year where, according to industry insiders, there was obvious chemistry.

Bingle played the host the next day, taking the visiting star for a walk along the Bondi to Bronte coast and then, a few days later, jetted to Brisbane to attend his concert.

They have since flirted openly on Twitter, and in November Lara’s BFF Hermione Underwood uploaded a video of herself and Lara singing to Jason’s Ridin’ Solo, which he then retweeted to his many followers.

Speaking to the UK edition of OK! magazine, Derulo brushed off rumours that the pair are dating, saying that though he thinks Bingle is "hot" he isnt seeing anyone "seriously" at the moment.

Bingle set to return Down Under this week.

LARA'S 2011 CAREER PLAN

After going through one of the most turbulent years in her young life, Lara Bingle is now determined to resurrect her career.

Bingle, who has been on a "working holiday" in America, so far visiting New York, Hawaii and Las Vegas, announced on Twitter yesterday her plans for 2011:

"I can't wait to get back to Australia!! I have so many projects i am working this year... I am so ready to make the best of 2011!”

In the past few months she has hit the headlines again and again. First, there was her much publicised romantic tryst with visiting R’n’B singer, Jason Derulo, next she was papped on a boat in Sydney Harbour wearing a see-through sheer black corset that left little to the imagination and, most recently, she appeared in a YouTube video lip-synching Derulo’s Ridin’ Solo song.

While we can’t confirm whether these incidents are unrelated or all part of a clever PR master plan – though the leaking of the YouTube video by best friend Hermione Underwood definitely suggests the latter - there’s no doubt that the extra exposure isn’t hurting Bingle’s career. And, with the recent dumping of Bingle by Speedo as their campaign model, she obviously needs it.

Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph two months ago, she said: "It's an exciting time; in the same way Elle Macpherson and Sarah Murdoch have paved the way, I’m ready to define my own path."

Now set up with new management, she’s looking for other opportunities and has as yet undisclosed TV projects and plans for her own fashion line in the pipeline. In addition, the beauty is hotly tipped to be a contestant in the forthcoming series of Dancing With the Stars.

JASON DERULO PLAYS DOWN ROMANCE WITH LARA BINGLE

Jason Derulo has played down his romance with Lara Bingle, saying he's just "messing around."

The chart topper has told UK's OK that although he thinks the Aussie model is "hot," he isnt seeing anyone "seriously" at the moment.

He confirms they did spent time together in Sydney and Brisbane when he was in Australia for the ARIA's in November.

The pair have since flirted openly on Twitter, and in early December, Bingle's friend posted a video of her miming to Derulo's hit "Ridin' Solo."

They caught up again in Las Vegas in the first few days of January, during Bingle's 'working holiday' through the US.

But it doesn't sound serious, with the singer telling OK he's just "having fun and hanging out. I'm kind of messing around, I'm focused on what I'm doing, but if the right girl came along then that would change things."

LARA BINGLE AND JASON DERULO: HOOK-UP IN VEGAS

The summer fling that simmered between Lara Bingle and US pop star Jason Derulo Down Under late last year has rekindled in Sin City in 2011.

The Australian babe is said to have hooked up with the Ridin' Solo singer -- again -- during her US sojourn.

Bingle, who has been on a "working holiday" in America, so far visiting New York and Hawaii, was in Las Vegas yesterday where she spent New Year's.

It is believed she is now in the company of the charismatic chart-topper, who has just come off back-to-back performance schedules.

The pair have been communicating on Twitter, with Bingle writing to Derulo this week: "NO MORE SLEEPS!!!!" Clearly excited, it's a long-awaited reunion since their hook-up at the ARIAs in November, which culminated in Bingle chasing the Watcha Say hit-maker to Brisbane.

A YouTube video of the swimwear model and her BFF, Hermione Underwood, whom she is travelling with, lipsynching Derulo's Ridin' Solo, was also released to the public.

Yesterday, Bingle tweeted her buddy. "Please come here now!!! Hurry up!!! Call me . . . J asking for you . . ." she wrote. Gee, wonder who "J" is . . .? Underwood replied: "Send my love."
