LARA REVEALS HER TOP TRAVEL DESTINATIONS

It's been a big year of travel for Aussie model Lara Bingle.

The bikini babe always tries to make the most of her international photo shoots, often squeezing in adventure activites such as snowboarding, cave diving and rock climbing while she's there.

She also managed to sneak in a couple of days break at boyfriend Sam Worthington's house in Hawaii recently, and plans to join him in Amsterdam where he is filming his latest movie next week.

We asked the Cronulla beauty - who has just released a new Lara Bingle for Cotton On Body swimwear collection - about the places she has visited recently.

We were left wondering: Where the bloody hell hasn't she been?

Maldives

Staying in an overwater villa would be a dream come true for many people.

It's all in a day's work for Bingle or, in this case, eight days.

She recently stayed at the One&Only Reethi Rah for a shoot and says it was a magical place.

"I made friends with the owners, who are Australian," she says.

"There were lots of Australians who worked there, so it felt like a slice of home."

Bingle had her own yoga teacher and says there was a sense of feeling shut down from the world.

"I didn't have my phone for the whole week - it was really nice," she says.

"The beaches are beautiful; everything is just like a dream in the Maldives

"I could definitely get used to living on an island."

Paris

After the shoot and a quick jaunt in London for Fashion Week, Bingle headed to Paris.

"I'm not the biggest fan of London," she says.

"The weather's always really grey and I don't know many people there so my preference would be to go to Paris or New York.

"Paris is one of my favourite cities, on par with New York.

"It's so different - the language, the culture."

Bingle spent her spare time visiting art galleries and Russian bath houses.

"I have a lot of friends in Paris so I went out to lots of nice dinners," she says.

"You just walk everywhere there.

"I went to a yoga class that was in French so I had no idea what was going on."

New York

Bingle has been to New York five times this year and loves catching up with friends there and getting into the healthy lifestyle.

"I lived in New York for a year a few years ago so I have more friends there than anywhere else," she says.

"It's somewhere where everything is forever changing.

"They have awesome Soul Cycle fitness classes and I love getting smoothies there."

Greek Islands

During the European summer Bingle took some time off to go sailing in the Greek Islands with a friend.

"I'd never been to the Greek Islands before," she says.

"We were on a boat for a week and we sailed from Mykonos - which is a bit too 'party' for me - to Santorini.

"My house is all white and in Santorini and Mykonos everything is painted white and it looks so beautiful.

"Then we went to Bodrum in Turkey, which was amazing as well."

Thailand

Bingle went to Thailand for a shoot a few months ago and spent six days at the Six Senses Koh Yao Noi resort.

"It's an island that's pretty remote and it's quite beautiful," she says.

"I went rock climbing there.

"You climb up the limestone caves and it's pretty incredible.

"I did that three or four times while I was there.

"You'd take a boat out and the Thai men held you from the bottom, so it's very safe."

New Zealand

After rising to fame in Tourism Australia's controversial Where the bloody hell are you? campaign, Bingle raised more eyebrows last year when she flew to the Land of the Long White Cloud to film a segment for Air New Zealand's Kiwi Sceptics campaign, which is designed to change perceptions for Australians who have never been there.

As well as heli-boarding near Wanaka and sleeping in a snow cave halfway up a mountain at The Remarkables she appears snowboarding at Coronet Peak.

"I'm very adventurous and I'm very fearless as well," Bingle says.

"I'm a big kid when it comes to all of that.

"Snowboarding in New Zealand was pretty amazing, it's definitely one of the best places that's close to Sydney that has great snow.

"Staying in the igloo was the craziest thing I've ever done.

"It was freezing - it was like minus 15C.

"I didn't sleep a wink."

Mexico

Bingle has been to Mexico a few times for both work and pleasure, most recently at the end of last year.

"I stayed in a treehouse on the beach and it was really amazing," she says.

"I used to go to these caves that are underwater natural springs called cenotes.

"They're massive holes in the ground in people's backyards and you can go diving there.

"People make money on them now."

India

After visiting India several times with her former fiance Michael Clarke Bingle returned at the beginning of this year for a detox retreat on the outskirts of Bangalore.

"It was an extreme detox," she says.

"It was so emotional. You had to be at one with yourself.

"I wasn't expecting it to be so extreme."

Hawaii

Despite her busy schedule Bingle managed to make time to spend a couple of days in Hawaii recently.

"My boyfriend (Worthington) has a house there," she says.

"I don't really like Hawaii to be honest - I've been there three times at different times of the year and every time it's rained.

"Most of the times I've been to Honolulu and that's quite touristy.

"One of my favourite things to do is paddleboarding so I've done that in Honolulu."

Brazil

One of Lara's favourite places in the world is Florianopolis in the south of Brazil.

"I was living in Milan when I was 17 modelling and between June and July they have three weeks off and the whole city shuts down, so it was either go home to Australia or go with the girls I was living with back to their home town in Brazil," she says.

"I stayed right in the middle of the capital, Brasilia.

"It was so amazing to see and live with their family - they have nothing.

"My model friend was bringing home the money.

"Most of the people there don't speak English so it's quite hard to get around unless you're with people who speak Portuguese."

Avalon

Bingle recently spent a couple of days at Avalon Beach on Sydney's northern beaches to shoot her new Cotton On Body swimwear collection, launched this week.

"I grew up in Cronulla and I love the beaches in Sydney's north and south," she says.

"I prefer them to more famous beaches like Bondi; I like little, quiet beaches and there's lots of little pockets on the northern beaches.

"Avalon has the same vibe as Cronulla.

"It's really calming."

Where's next?

Next week Lara is heading to Amsterdam, where Worthington is filming his new movie Kidnapping Freddy Heineken alongside Anthony Hopkins.

But she won't be packing her bikini this time

"Apparently it's 10C there at the moment," she says.

"I haven't been there before but my friends say you ride bikes everywhere.

"I'll be training for six weeks - he has a movie and I have some work coming up so we have a trainer who will be living with us."

After that she is heading to the US for work, with plans to rendezvous with Worthington during his next shoot in New Orleans before Christmas.

BINGLE OPENS UP TO SYDNEY CONFIDENTIAL ON HER NEW LOVE SAM WORTHINGTON

Lara Bingle has described new man Sam Worthington as an "awesome down to earth guy".

Speaking exclusively to Sydney Confidential on Nova with J. Mo and Elle radio show last night (Sunday), the model and fashionista said she is "very grateful" for her budding romance with the Hollywood leading man.

"Sam is an awesome guy. I am happy, we are happy. He is the most awesome guy, Australians are just really down to earth, very protective and it is nice to have someone around like that."

On Friday, Worthington told Nova's Fitzy and Wippa breakfast duo he was "smitten" by Bingle.

The high profile pair have been hot property since going public with their relationship.

So strong are their feelings that sources close to the actor tell Confidential a proposal may well be on the cards.

Photographers have trailed Bingle and Worthington's every move, with up to 10 snappers following them at any given time.

"It has been crazy," said Bingle. "It is something that you never get used to.

The model yesterday unveiled her latest business venture, the Lara Bingle for Cotton On Body swimwear range.

Appearing on the cover of The Sunday Telegraph's Sunday Style magazine, the 26-year-old modelled a range of different looks from the collection.

"It is something that I have created over the last year and it is something I am really proud of," she said.

"It is a dream for me and to do it with Cotton On, I'm getting it out there so it is going to be a very exciting summer for me."

She says Elle Macpherson has been a major inspiration as she's attempted to build her own fashion and beauty empire.

"I've followed Elle Macpherson's career since day one and I definitely look up to her," she said.

LARA ON MICHAEL: "THE BEST THING I EVER DID WAS LEAVE"

They were Australia's hottest couple, but model Lara Bingle says leaving Michael Clarke was the best thing she ever did.

Following revelations in The Sunday Telegraph last week that Ricky Ponting blamed her for alienating the test cricketer from his teammates, Bingle says she was not happy as a WAG.

"I felt like I was just living his dream," she said.

"And there are girls that are happy to do that, but I require more for myself. I need to be stimulated more than that."

"The best thing I ever did was leave," she said. "I got to experience all these opportunities.

"Otherwise, I kid you not, I would have three children by now."

Bingle, 26, who is now dating Sam Worthington, tells today's Sunday Style magazine she never saw herself getting married, despite becoming engaged to the cricket captain in 2008.

"I never saw myself walking up an aisle," she said. "I was 19 when I got engaged."

Since their split three years ago, Bingle and Clarke, who married model Kyly Boldy last year, have remained on good terms, she said.

"We're still friends. He just can't believe how I 'turned the ship around'."

She revealed she still gives Pup career advice - particularly following his loss of the Ashes this year.

"The perception [of him] is not that amazing, she said. "His job is very robotic. If [only] he was just himself."

SAM WORTHINGTON SAYS HE IS SMITTEN WITH NEW GIRLFRIEND LARA

We've seen the pictures, we've heard the rumours but now Sam Worthington has finally broken his silence on his new relationship with Lara Bingle.

The Hollywood actor told Nova's Fitzy and Wippa this morning in an exclusive interview that he is "smitten" with the Aussie model.

"I'm very happy and I've met someone I'm very grateful for," he told the radio duo.

"She's down to Earth."

His words came after the pair pranked the Hollywood actor by asking him questions in which the only answers were "Lara" and "Bingle".

"At the moment I am blushing," he said after being tricked into saying her name - twice.

Worthington was in the studio to promote a book called 365 Gratefuls by local author Hailey Bartholomew after saying he found her book during a period where he felt "lost".

"I contacted Hayley and said let's get this book some exposure because this could really help other people who are maybe feeling a bit cloudy," he said.

Worthington's comments come after he shared a photo of he and Bingle on his Instagram account - his very first picture on the site.

The pair are believed to have met in New York in late September after being introduced by mutual friend Natalie Imbruglia.

Rumours of a romance between Bingle and Worthington had been rife in recent weeks and the loved-up pair have since been snapped running errands together in Sydney.

Worthington, best known for his role in the sci-fi flick Avatar, stepped off a flight from China last week and met Bingle, 26, who was waiting in her car in a side street.

The new couple then hit up a dry-cleaning store and cafe for fresh juice before hanging out together in the Sydney suburb of Bondi.

Prior to this, the pair attended the Cotton On Foundation's Global Citizen Concert headlined by Bono, Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys at Central Park in New York.

Friends say the model and the Hollywood actor are keen to try to make their new relationship work.

"She's always beaming when she's around Sam, and he's smitten with her," a source close to Bingle told WHO magazine.

Worthington, 37, has most recently been linked with fellow Aussie Sophie Monk while Bingle ended her romance with Ksubi designer Gareth Moody earlier this year.

SAM WORTHINGTON OFFICIALLY CONFIRMS HE AND LARA ARE AN ITEM

Australian Hollywood star Sam Worthington has debuted on Instagram with a racy selfie of himself and new squeeze Lara Bingle.

Both the photo, which appears to have been taken by Lara, and Worthington seem to be focusing on some of the model's most eye-catching assets.

It is the first confirmation from the Avatar star himself that he and Bingle are an item.

Bingle had herself already blown their cover on social media and Sydney's paparazzi have been eager to fill in the blanks since they got together in the Harbour City late last week.

The pair first hooked up in New York just over a fortnight ago.

On September 28 they attended the Cotton On Foundation's Global Citizen Concert in New York's  Central Park, headlined by Bono, Kings of Leon, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder.

Bingle picked up Worthington shortly after he arrived in Sydney last week and they spent the afternoon together driving around Sydney running errands and drinking juice.

Worthington is also understood to have watched Bingle during a photo shoot at Luxe Studios in Darlinghurst.

BINGLE PREFERS TO GO INCOGNITO

Lara Bingle once famously said she'd never sell another story about her personal life. But the blonde model could pocket in excess of $100,000 if she and new boyfriend, Hollywood actor Sam Worthington, were to play ball with paparazzi and women's magazines.

From picking up groceries to canoodling as they dined out, and frolicking on a secluded South Coast beach, photographers have documented the couple's every move since they brought their love affair to Sydney last week.

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive with some speculating the pair is even planning on getting married.

And it is the tell-all interview and photographs that could earn the pair a huge pay packet if they sought it.

In May 2010, Bingle declared she wouldn't accept money for any future stories after being widely criticised for being paid $200,000 for an interview after she split from Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke.

"I don't want to live in the spotlight any more," she said. "I will never take money for a story again."

Bingle's business manager George Moskos was not available for comment yesterday but Confidential understands she and Worthington are fed up with being followed.

One photographer said: "Celebrities often sell their stories because they can control it and it diffuses the situation as everyone just wants that one loved-up exclusive.

"The initial buzz goes down after that but selling your story can also sometimes backfire."

Bingle was trailed by at least 10 photographers as she ran errands around Sydney during the week.

They followed her from Darlinghurst to Bondi beach and back to her Darling Point apartment.

"It has been extremely intense," said a friend of Worthington.

"They've both been offered huge amounts of money but they're just not interested."

Yesterday the pair were spotted shopping at Westfield Bondi Junction, with Bingle unseasonally dressed for the weather in leggings and a big black cape.

LARA BINGLE AND SAM WORTHINGTON REUNITED IN SYDNEY

Lara Bingle and Sam Worthington have moved their blossoming romance to Sydney.

After hooking up in New York less than two weeks ago, the high profile pair were reunited in her home town.

Worthington flew in on a Qantas flight from Hong Kong and did his best to play down the blossoming relationship.

"Who?" he said when asked by one photographer at the airport if he would be seeing Bingle in Sydney.

"I don't know what you're talking about, I'm just here with a mate."

But clearly the Avatar star did know. Bingle wasn't at the airport but met the actor in her black Range Rover nearby the Audi showroom off Southern Cross Drive and spent the pair rest of the day together.

Worthington is understood to have watched Bingle during a photo shoot at Luxe Studios in Darlinghurst before the pair picked up lunch ain Bondi and escaped back to her Darling Point apartment later in the afternoon.

"They were laughing, holding hands, flirting and smiling," said one onlooker, noting they kissed as they sat in the car at a red light.

On September 28 the pair attended the Cotton On Foundation's Global Citizen Concert in New York's Central Park, headlined by Bono, Kings of Leon, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder.

LARA AND SAM WORTHINGTON BUDDING ROMANCE?

Hawaii-based Sam Worthington is expected to arrive in Sydney as soon as today to rendezvous with new love interest Lara Bingle.

Rumours of a budding romance between the model and the Avatar star emerged after they were spied together in New York on September 28.

"It is too early to say its serious but Sam is definitely coming to Sydney this week and will be catching up with Lara," said a source close to the Hollywood actor. "They had a good connection and he really likes her."

The pair last saw each other less than two weeks ago, attending the Cotton On Foundation's Global Citizen Concert headlined by Bono, Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys at Central Park.

Bingle is one of the brand's local ambassadors and was in the US shooting a campaign.

She and Worthington attended the concert with a bunch of celeb mates including Natalie Imbruglia, model Erin Heatherton, Clint Eastwood's son, Scott, and fashion commentator Hilary Kerr.

Observers tell Confidential "sparks flew" during the concert and the pair were seen cosying up together.

The pair were then photographed spending time together taking a stroll around the tourist sighs of the Big Apple.

But Bingle's management refused to comment and sources close to the model say they're "simply friends".
