BINGLE PREFERS TO GO INCOGNITO
Lara Bingle once famously said she'd never sell another story about her personal life. But the blonde model could pocket in excess of $100,000 if she and new boyfriend, Hollywood actor Sam Worthington, were to play ball with paparazzi and women's magazines.
From picking up groceries to canoodling as they dined out, and frolicking on a secluded South Coast beach, photographers have documented the couple's every move since they brought their love affair to Sydney last week.
The rumour mill has gone into overdrive with some speculating the pair is even planning on getting married.
And it is the tell-all interview and photographs that could earn the pair a huge pay packet if they sought it.
In May 2010, Bingle declared she wouldn't accept money for any future stories after being widely criticised for being paid $200,000 for an interview after she split from Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke.
"I don't want to live in the spotlight any more," she said. "I will never take money for a story again."
Bingle's business manager George Moskos was not available for comment yesterday but Confidential understands she and Worthington are fed up with being followed.
One photographer said: "Celebrities often sell their stories because they can control it and it diffuses the situation as everyone just wants that one loved-up exclusive.
"The initial buzz goes down after that but selling your story can also sometimes backfire."
Bingle was trailed by at least 10 photographers as she ran errands around Sydney during the week.
They followed her from Darlinghurst to Bondi beach and back to her Darling Point apartment.
"It has been extremely intense," said a friend of Worthington.
"They've both been offered huge amounts of money but they're just not interested."
Yesterday the pair were spotted shopping at Westfield Bondi Junction, with Bingle unseasonally dressed for the weather in leggings and a big black cape.
