LARA BINGLE SAYING NO TO GRAZIA OVER PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGE

Photobucket

It seems Lara Bingle was a tiny bit upset with Grazia magazine for photoshopping two of Oceanic Media's pictures together to show her and supposed new boyfriend Dion Anthony seemingly leaving his Bellevue Hill home together.

Denying that she and carpenter Anthony were an item, Lara had a go at the glossy magazine to the Daily Telegraph saying they hadn't left the house together nor has she ever showered or stayed over night there.

Lara said about the pictures, "All I can do is laugh - what other choice do I have?"

Being the good sport she is Lara flashed a smile at the photographer while out with a mystery man, who most defenitely hasn't been photoshopped next to her!

Update: The mystery man; is model and interior designer Jason Sullivan.

LARA FURIOUS OVER DOCTORED IMAGES

Lara Bingle has vented her fury at the glossy magazine Grazia for doctoring photographs of her.

PBL's struggling weekly fashion title combined a photograph of the 23-year-old model with a separate image of in-line skater and carpenter Dion Anthony, 30, to suggest the pair were romantically attached.

The image, which appears in the current issue, depicts a wet-haired Bingle side by side with Anthony as they leave his Bellevue Hill home.

The accompanying caption states that Bingle and Anthony left "together".

But the original set of photographs, taken on September 11 by a paparazzo who works for the picture agency Oceanic Media, show them leaving the house separately.

The pictures, sent to all media outlets, were bought by Grazia - the highest bidder - for more than $7000, according to industry sources.

Bingle, who split from cricketer Michael Clarke in March, said yesterday she was furious.

"I just have to have a sense of humour about it, because it's not even a real photo," she said.

"They've taken two separate shots, doctored the images, then photoshopped them together to make it look like we're standing next to each other.

"I can't believe they would actually go to that much effort, but there you go."

Bingle has been seen leaving Anthony's home several times in the past month, but the model strenuously denies they are an item.

Bingle is dressed in Thai fisherman's pants and a black singlet top, and her hair looked freshly washed. But she insisted she had never slept at Anthony's house or showered there.

Anthony had become a close friend and the pair spent a lot of time together, Bingle said.

"No, Dion and I are officially not an item," she said. "We're just good friends and nothing more. I'm very single and very happy right now."

When Bingle split from Clarke, she travelled to New York to escape public scrutiny.

She recently paid $880,000 for a modest Darling Point apartment and is living with her mother in Sydney's south until she moves in.

"About the picture, all I can do is laugh - what other choice do I have?" she said.

Grazia managing editor Jane Davies refused to discuss the manipulated photographs. "Our comment is that we stand by the story," Davies said.

LARA BINGLE INKS A HOME DEAL

The swimwear model has bought her first home - a tiny 65sq m apartment - in a quiet cul-de-sac in Darling Point, just up the road from Nicole Kidman's former abode in the prestigious harbourside suburb.

Real estate sources yesterday said, while the sprawling penthouse that crowns the 1950s red brick building would be worth "over $2 million easy", the 23-year-old snagged her refurbished flat for $880,000.

Confidential hears Bingle has financed the purchase with her $600,000 settlement from Clarke, the $200,000 she pocketed from the sale of her nude photo scandal story to Woman's Day and her savings.

While she recently acquired some new ink - "Love Love" on her upper right arm, near the shoulder, and "Breath" on her finger - Confidential also hears Bingle has rarely been alone since her engagement breakdown. She has been linked to no less than three different fellas of late.

LARA BINGLE: MY LIFE AFTER MICHAEL

Six months after splitting with Michael Clarke, Lara Bingle is rebuilding her career and leading a quieter life.

While Father’s Day was a time of reflection for model Lara Bingle, who lost her dad, Graham, to cancer in 2008, an image splashed on the front page of a newspaper that Sunday lifted her spirits. “I loved seeing Michael photographed with his dad,” Bingle tells WHO of her ex fiancĂ©, Australian cricket vice-captain Michael Clarke. “It was so great to see in that photo why Michael’s such a champion. He has taught me so much. He’s cheeky like his dad, but also gutsy, too. It made me smile.”

Having weathered an intense six months in which her two-year engagement to Clarke disintegrated amid a media storm and criticised representation by agent Max Markson, Bingle, 23, is these days feeling more inclined to smile. Launching back into the business of being beautiful—the craft she has honed since beginning her modelling career as a teenager—the size-8 glamazon’s current assignment is continuing her role as the face of swimwear brand Speedo. “Lara is at her best in front of a camera,” says Speedo marketing manager Tiffany Scott, who oversaw the upcoming campaign. “On a shoot day we often work 10 to 12 hours in the sun, which can be quite tiring, but Lara embraces every minute of it and works tirelessly through every shot.”

Work has become a serious focus for the reformed red-carpet regular. Having lost “so many deals” in the wake of the messy March split with Clarke, 29 — including the couple’s joint endorsement of energy drink Synergy—Bingle is thrilled to have kept the starring role she has held with Speedo since 2007.

“This is my favourite shoot with Speedo so far,” says the bikini devotee, who was raised in the southern Sydney beachside suburb of Cronulla. “Whether I am working in front of the camera, or just developing my own designs, being part of the industry makes you strive for higher standards.”

Yet at the peak of her famed coupling with Clarke, Bingle, who drove a $250,000 Aston Martin and lived in the Test cricketer’s $6.5 million Bondi penthouse, seemed more focused on striving for top It-girl status. While she was regularly photographed beaming in Louis Vuitton and other designer labels at A-list events, these days “she’s not on the scene at all,” one Sydney socialite confirms. “She’s trying to keep a low profile — no-one has seen her out for ages.”

Having traded the flashy shores of Bondi for her mum Sharon’s comfortable Cronulla home, Bingle is adhering to her declaration that she no longer “wants the limelight.” Living with her mum is “wonderful,” she says. “Mum always gets a little shy when I say this, but she really is my hero, even in slippers.”

While declining to discuss her reported new romance with professional in-line skater Dion Anthony, it is understood Anthony has quickly established a friendship with Sharon Bingle and is a regular visitor to their home. The hirsute skater was seen getting into Bingle’s Mini Cooper on Sept. 8.

As for what remains of Bingle’s relationship with Clarke, it is still “too soon” for the pair to be friends, says a cricket insider. “From Michael’s end a line has been drawn in the sand — they are two different people doing two different things.” Despite reports Clarke is dating former Miss Indy model Kyly Boldy, “Kyly and I are friends,” he tweeted on Aug. 29.

“Not boyfriend and girlfriend.”

Post-Clarke, Bingle seems determined to launch an improved version of herself. Having returned in July from a three-month US trip to “research New York’s fashion and modelling industries” (including meeting with top model agency Elite), Bingle has signed with celebrity agent Titus Day, whose clients include The X Factor’s Guy Sebastian.

“Lara is an ambitious and highly motivated girl who is very conscious of her strengths and weaknesses,” Day tells WHO. “For someone so young she has been through a huge amount, and has come out the other side of it very media- and business-savvy. She’s very much driving everything that is happening in her career.”

LARA: "MUM IS MY HERO"

Lara Bingle is back home living with her mum, staying out of the spotlight and loving her new campaign for Speedo.

The bikini babe still has what it takes for the swimwear giant, which has stuck by her through recent turmoil, and told Who magazine it's her best Speedo shoot yet.

Bingle, who broke up with Michael Clarke in March, refused to discuss her reported romance with inline skater Dion Anthony.

But she told the magazine she loved being home with mum Sharon.

"Mum always gets a little shy when I say this, but she really is my hero, even in slippers," she said.
