LARA WORTHINGTON STUNS IN NEW CAMPAIGN FOR WESTFIELD

Having a baby, nothing to it. Starting a business, scary.

That’s how model Lara Worthington — nee Bingle — sums up one of the most challenging and rewarding years of her life.

After shying away from publicity in recent months following the birth of her son Rocket Zot, the girl from The Shire has made a stunning return to the spotlight.

Lara, who is married to Aussie actor Sam Worthington, opened up about her new roles as mother and businesswoman as part of Westfield’s “Today I Am” campaign, her first major brand campaign since Rocket was born in March.

“The most empowering moment of my life to date would be giving birth,” she revealed in a short film for the shopping centre giant, shot on the streets and rooftops of New York.

“It is the most beautiful, insanely amazing thing in the world.

“Today I am a mother.”

“Today, I’m my own boss, and it’s a little scary. But scary is good,” she said in the film, directed by Gracie Otto.

The Sydney-born model also revealed her thoughts on being an entrepreneur, having launched her own cosmetics and bronzing range, The Base by Lara Bingle.

Lara, 28, is currently in Sydney with her husband, who will star in Mel Gibson’s war epic Hacksaw Ridge, which begins filming in NSW soon.

The pair, who began dating in 2013, have been seen out and about in the city with Rocket in recent days.

Lara is expected to fly home to the US this week but will return to Australia next month for work.
