PS was a little deflated after receiving a shot of Lara Bingle's Christmas tree this week - it was more like a Christmas stick.

The small pine tree in a pot wrapped in a hessian bag was naked of baubles or even a skerrick of tinsel. Even Bingle herself admitted ''it's a bit sad'' when PS asked her about it.

2011 INSIDER AWARDS BEST DRESSED: LARA BINGLE

While most Australian stars strut red carpets in generic mini dresses, Lara Bingle is more likely to show up in a metallic tuxedo or shapeless Josh Goot shift.

She's not a slave to trends, preferring to reference modern style icons Alexa Chung and Chloe Sevigny.

"I've always loved masculine-style dressing and I love a very feminine style as well, so I try to mix both of them together then come up with my own look," she says.

While she's had the odd hiccup - such as her penchant for real fur - her choices have been daring, original and distinct. Take the black Dion Lee dress and lace eye mask she wore to Royal Randwick's spring carnival in October, or the demure burgundy Louis Vuitton skirt and black top she wore to the luxury brand's store opening this month.

And her recent weight gain (she's put on 6kg) has helped rather than hinder her popularity with young women, who have thanked her for proving it's not just stick-thin models who can wear high-fashion.

"It's been really moving, having girls contact me and say I'm the reason they've got more body confidence," Bingle says.

LARA BINGLE'S DRIVE TO SORT OUT HER TRAFFIC FINES

It's tyres have barely clocked up a few kilometres but Lara Bingle's $170,000 Mercedes mega-ride was again nearly relegated to her garage thanks to the model's latest licence hiccup.

Bingle received a suspension notice last month for failing to pay previous fines, but we hear the 24-year-old blonde was unaware of the fine until she received the notice after returning from Bali.

The fines were quickly paid and she's already back on the road, having been spotted driving around town on Thursday.

The stylish model will spend December in the city with family and friends.

LARA BINGLE HOPES TO EMULATE KIM KARDASHIAN WITH HER OWN REALITY TELEVISION SERIES BY NEW PRODUCTION COMPANY EYEWORKS

Can Lara Bingle emulate the success of Kim Kardashian as the star of her own reality TV series?

It seems one local television production company believes so, with market newcomer Eyeworks backing the project.

Confidential can reveal a sizzle reel has recently been circulated to TV networks teasing a reality series based on the model's life.

Yesterday producers at Eyeworks were not returning our calls but network sources said the promo reels had landed on programming executives' desks at the Seven and Ten networks.

The concept follows the simple yet effective reality show premise "if it happens, shoot it" and Bingle's fitness makeover gets an airing. Now if the program's producers can only persuade Bingle to let them film her uncensored after-dark activities, Confidential is confident the program will find an audience.

Clearly Bingle, nicknamed "Bucky" during her childhood, may have had her television close-up on her mind when she caught up with celebrity dentist David Carr in Double Bay on Monday. Carr looked to have something else on his mind however, the older man at one stage spotted massaging Bingle's neck.

Bingle wore a provocative T-shirt to the coffee date, our spies telling us the T-shirt screamed just one word, "F ... ".

LARA: 'STOP CALLING ME FAT!'

Standing up to recent body bullying, model Lara Bingle says putting on 6kg has her feeling happy and healthy despite negative media reports slamming her weight gain.

But the former Speedos ambassador admits the pressure has been intense, with paparazzi standing outside her front door shouting, "Give us a fat shot, Lara!" Says Bingle: "It's been so full on. It's like, enough!"

But Bingle - who is the face of healthy eating program Eat Fit Food - insists she keeps her body image in check by focusing on being fit and healthy.

"I'm not trying to beat myself up or worry about hammering myself at the gym everyday - when you stress about that, it does more harm than good."

For Bingle, time is better spent maintaining an active lifestyle and a positive lease on life: 'I'm really happy right now...I just want to enjoy my life."

Instead, Bingle has been buoyed by the many positive Twitter comments she's received from girls sharing their own body image stories. "They're my real inspiration," says Bingle. "Whenever there's been a negative media report, they've come to my defence and say I've inspired them, and that's amazing to me."

Lara Bingle seemed to be taking up an unusual position between a truck and a tree when we snapped her standing with toes pointing in different directions.

Taking care of business, Lara made a cameo appearance in Celebrity Apprentice and told everyone she wasn't a fan of shopping.

Which is odd because she wants everyone else to be a fan of shopping and buy her sunglasses range, and her soon to be released coffee table book.



After hanging around behind the tree Lara was soon on her way smiling from ear to ear and brightening up the world in her own cheery way.

CELEBRITY APPRENTICE TIME FOR LARA BINGLE

Model, budding entrepreneur and . . . Celebrity Apprentice? Lara Bingle took time out to film a cameo on the Channel 9 reality series recently, helping out in a kiddie-inspired challenge of creating a song to the tune of a popular nursery rhyme.

The episode, which also features Catriona Rowntree and Jono Coleman, airs tonight.

Meanwhile Bingle revealed that she's working on plans to launch a sunglasses collaboration early next year as well as a coffee table book, a blog and a fashion line with a yet-to-be-named label.

"I have definitely a whole list of things I want to achieve. There are about 30 on that list and I have ticked off about five so I have a bit still to go," Bingle said.

"I've been asked to release a fragrance in India because I spent a lot of time there when I was seeing Michael (Clarke) but I don't know. It could be something."

Theirs may have been one of the more headline-grabbing splits in celebdom but Lara Bingle says she and ex-fiance Michael Clarke are still close and are now talking regularly as they stitch up their friendship.

"We talk a lot ... he was a massive part of my life," Bingle told Confidential.

She said she is keeping an eye on Clarke's progress in South Africa where Australia are set to begin their Test today.

"I don't follow cricket all the time but since he has been captain I am his No. 1 supporter.

"And I hear that they are doing really well."

Friendly exes they may be but Bingle, who appeared yesterday as an ambassador for detox food suppliers eatfitfood.com.au, admits she hasn't reached the stage that proves you really are over someone - meeting her former lover's the new girlfriend.

"No, I have never met her," Bingle said when asked had she crossed paths with Clarke's new model flame Kyly Boldy.

Baby steps Lara.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old says that, after a brief romance with English rugby player Danny Cipriani - which she says was definitely not a stunt designed to make money out of a picture deal with a magazine - she is now totally single.

"And I'm not looking. Not at all. I find that when you start looking you never find anyone," she said.

As for her career, the one-time face (and body) of Australian tourism says she is bound for the US this Saturday in a bid to crack the international modelling scene.

"There's nothing that I can really talk about yet but I know I just have to spend more time there," Bingle said.

"I have management there so I'm hoping to get it all sorted."

LARA TAKES A BREAK ON THE COAST

Lara Bingle has spent the weekend frolicking around the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.

The model who has copped a bit of flack for putting on a bit of weight looked stunning as she soaked up to sun with BFF and manager Hermione Underwood and make-up artist Max May.

Lara and Hermione flew to the Coast on Friday morning and spent the afternoon on a boat, jetskiing and kite surfing on the Broadwater.

"Cheeky afternoon on the water!!!" Lara posted on Twitter, before uploading a photo of a helicopter and writing: "Don't have a car in the gold coast but it's ok!!!!!"

No stranger to controversy, beach babe Lara Bingle says she is used to copping criticism - just don't call her fat.

The 24-year-old swimsuit model has added 5kg to her petite 168cm frame, but last week said she was happy to have accentuated her famous curves.

And while her weight gain has been hotly debated, Bingle said the extra kilos were actually the result of her healthier diet.

"I used to eat so badly when I was younger - lots of hot chips and pies - and I think it's all caught up with me," she said during a photo shoot for Who magazine's annual Sexiest People issue out Friday.

"I eat so much better now, and stick to a high-protein, low-carb diet, but it's like the healthier I am the bigger I am.

"Without a doubt it gets harder as you get older. I'm just trying to embrace my curves and make sure I stay fit and well."

Posing in a revealing black lace number, Bingle said she hoped the image would silence her critics once and for all.

"I'm proud of my body and how I look and this image is testament to that," Bingle told The Sunday Telegraph.

Despite her defiant attitude, sources close to the model said she was upset by the constant scrutiny over her weight and that she had shown great strength during scandals involving Aussie Rules footballer Brendan Fevola and her high-profile break-up from Test captain Michael Clarke.

"Lara is emotionally strong and physically healthy," one friend said. "She works out, eats well and looks good. How skinny do people want her to be?

"This is why women turn anorexic, because society places too much emphasis on how they look and what size they should be."

With her life playing out like a soap opera in recent years, Lara Bingle has decided to own her dramas through a reality TV series.

Bingle has exposed her life to the cameras in a pilot for a reality show and is weighing up whether to push ahead with a full-blown series.

The sultry swimwear model, and headline magnet thanks to her regular dating dramas, has sought advice for the project from US TV host Ryan Seacrest, who is an executive producer of the wildly successful Kardashian family reality TV juggernaut, as well as close pal, radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands.

"It went really well and it is really funny," Bingle said of the pilot she filmed in July.

"Hermione (Underwood, her manager) was in it, Max (May) and my family were in it.

"We did it over a week and it was pretty funny looking back over it. It is very real."

Bingle was surprised how much happened in a week of her life.

"It is crazy. You don't really magnify your life. Everything kind of passes by," she said.

"Every day is different in my life, so it was weird to see it."

But, while happy with the end product, Bingle is not sure if she is ready for the warts-and-all exposure.

"I took a step back (after watching the pilot) and I am still thinking as to if I would like my whole life to be out there, from when I go to the bathroom to when I wake up.

"If I was to do a reality TV show I would want it to be very real. I believe that is the only way they work."

Bingle teamed up with a UK-based production company for the pilot and hopes if a series eventuates that it will be sold to English and Australian networks.

Bingle, in Melbourne this week as an ambassador for EatFitFood and with a lingerie project on the drawing board, said she planned to spend a significant amount of time overseas next year.

"Everything seems to go hand in hand, having a boyfriend or not having a boyfriend, then there is trouble when you have a boyfriend and trouble when you don't, and who is the next boyfriend," she said.

"I guess it is the same with the weight."

While on the subject of men, Bingle said she was happy being single and put to rest rumours of hooking up with Jason Derulo on the weekend.

Derulo is currently working in Sydney.

Bingle was coy when asked yesterday. "Well, I'm in Melbourne and I think he's visiting in Sydney for the week," she said.

From broken engagements and stolen cars to demit point investigations and arrangements with paparazzi - Lara Bingle has come out the other end and put her hat firmly back on her head.

In her first interview in months, the human headline sat down with Confidential today to acknowledge the "really good place" she has put herself in following a recent trip to LA.

Bingle was also quick to quash rumours she was seeing recently-dumped Rooster Todd Carney.

"That’s not true. We use the same coach. I've been sprinting a lot and sometimes we run into each other. That’s it."

Revealing she started the year with a wish list, boxes are slowly being ticked off at brand Bingle headquarters.

"I'm surrounded by really good people at the moment and I'm really happy where things are going … it feels like I'm never not working," she said.

"It’s a really good place to be. I feel blessed."

Of all the business ventures Bingle has been busying herself with - including a self-designed sunglasses range - the 24-year-old remains unsure about a reality series that would put her life under the microscope.

“I’ve had a lot of offers over the years (to do a show) and we did film a pilot earlier this year, but I’m just not sure yet,” she said.

“So much of my life is lived in full public view and you’ve got to make sure there are parts of it to keep to yourself.”

Speaking of, any private relationships to speak of?

“No, its just me and my bestfriend Max (May) and my manager Hermoine (Underwood). No one at the moment.”

Having flown under the social radar of late, Bingle will return to the party circuit this weekend by being the special guest at Epsom Super Saturday at Royal Randwick.

“It’s a good excuse to put on a nice dress. Or a suit. I love a suit,” she laughed.

MAX MARKSON AUCTIONS OFF OLD MATE LARA BINGLE

It seems Max Markson has patched up his differences with former client Lara Bingle, so he auctioned her off to the highest bidder last night.

Bingle agreed to go under the hammer for a segment of The Celebrity Apprentice at Tim Olsen's art gallery in Paddington - with money going to a homeless youth charity.

Markson briefly represented Bingle last year before they parted - soon after her split from Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke.

"Lara and I are still friends and I rang her when she was in LA 10 days ago and explained what it was for and she said 'Yes'," Markson told us.

PHEW! LARA WORKS IT OUT

You don’t get a body like Lara Bingle‘s just by sitting around eating KFC, you know. It takes damn hard work!

Ok having a few good genes help, but hell work out those genes and keep them in shape!

Bingle was out doing just that with an intense workout including some impressive sprint training.

You maybe surprised to know that Bingle’s sprint technique is actually pretty good. None of the flouncy arms everywhere type of running, it was more like Olympic Cathy Freeman style.

A couple of days ago Bingle was tweeting about polishing off nearly a box of chocolate truffles.

Her tough workout banished any possibility of “truffle bum” though. Bingle still has everything in the right place.

Less than a month after publicly declaring her love for British rugby player Danny Cipriani on the front cover of a national magazine, Lara Bingle is single again.

Despite saying she was going to make it work, it is understood that the Sydney beauty has not heard from Cipriani since the pair holidayed in Bora Bora, Tahiti, at the end of last month.

"Lara was as surprised about the split as I am sure anyone else might be," Bingle's new manager Hermione Underwood confirmed.

"Unfortunately, sometimes things just don't work out as expected."

Bingle, 24, and Cipriani, 23, got together after a whirlwind courtship that began when she was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars. They tried to keep the romance private but went public after their Tahitian trip.

"I'm in love," Bingle told Who magazine at the time. "With Danny it's just so easy - he gets me and my life and I get his. He's really supportive of what I do."

Cipriani has spent the past few weeks in the UK but is expected to fly back to Sydney later this month. He's notorious for squiring beautiful high-profile women and then splitting with them.

He has previously been linked to Lindsay Lohan and Kelly Brook.

Bingle was sporting a new haircut - a classic break-up move. From what we hear, she has sworn off men for a while.

LARA AND DANNY HIT THE BRAKES

The brief relationship between Lara Bingle and Melbourne Rebels rugby player Danny Cipriani is reportedly all over.

The couple split soon after they returned from a holiday in Tahiti two weeks ago, sources confirmed to the Sunday Herald Sun.

It's believed Cipriani is on his way home to London for a couple of months during the off season with the Melbourne Rebels, and wanted no distractions as he concentrates on rebuilding his rugby career.

At the David Jones fashion show in Sydney on Thursday night, Bingle gave no indication that she was single other than that she was accompanied by her best friend, make-up artist Max May, rather than Cipriani.

She told the Herald Sun Cipriani was "great."

Just two weeks ago, Who Weekly bought pictures of the couple on the beach at Bora Bora and Bingle told the magazine how in love she was.

It's believed Bingle still has hopes the two may rekindle the romance when he returns to Australia.

The couple were first seen out together in late June. They met while Bingle was in Melbourne for Dancing with the Stars.

At the time Bingle was linked to American singer Jason Derulo.

A British production company is producing a pilot for a show based on her life. Friends Kyle Sandilands and Erin McNaught are involved.

LARA TO TAKE OUT A RESTRAINING ORDER ON PAPARAZZI

Lara Bingle flew into Sydney from Tahiti yesterday to face a fresh storm of controversy after ditching new boyfriend Danny Cipriani at Auckland airport in a bid to evade photographers.

But she walked into a new paparazzi war after photographer and one-time Nicole Kidman nemesis Jamie Fawcett vowed to fight her after reports she would seek legal advice against him.

Bingle's manager Titus Day yesterday said she would meet lawyers this week to examine taking out an AVO against Fawcett, who she claimed was harassing her.

"It is very serious. It has become a real problem and he is always outside her home ready to stick a camera in her face and it has been going on for months," Day alleged.

Fawcett told Confidential he was ready to challenge her claims. "I'm not going to fight Lara Bingle through the media," he said. "But if she has appropriate and legitimate cause for complaint, then let her take it to court because I will defend it rigorously.

"I am not parked outside her place everyday. That is clearly not the case."

Bingle has put other noses out of joint after she and rugby player Cipriani spent the week at Bora Bora in Tahiti, where they posed for a photographer from Big Pictures and declared their love for each other.

Bingle had until then denied they were anything but "good friends", and was reportedly paid $30,000 for this week's Who magazine story.

But Day denied that.

"Lara has not made a cent out of any of this, I can assure you," he said. "She has a preferred relationship with Big Pictures, and one of their photographers bumped into her there and she (and Danny) co-operated when asked."

Model Lara Bingle has opened up about her romance with rugby star Danny Cipriani, confirming the relationship "just feels right" in a candid interview with WHO.

Following her successful stint on Dancing with the Stars, Bingle, 24, and Melbourne Rebels player Cipriani, 23, are enjoying a tropical getaway together on the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora. "It's been so nice to be able to just hang out and get away from everything," the Sydney based star says from her island bungalow. "With Danny it's just so easy—he gets me and my life and I get his. He's really supportive of what I do."

The revealing interview marks the first time Bingle has spoken publicly about a relationship since the public disintegration of her engagement to Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke in March 2010. "After my relationship with Michael I've realised that sometimes it's better to speak out rather than trying to hide it," she says. "But I feel like I want to protect this interview more."

Images of Bingle and Cipriani kissing passionately during their summer escape have ruled out rumours suggesting she was set to reconcile with former flame, US singer Jason Derulo, who coincidentally arrives into Sydney today for a promotional gig over the weekend. "He's one of the nicest guys I've met, but he lives in the US and I live in Australia so it was a hard thing to continue," she concedes. "But we're still friends, we still hang out if we're in the same place."

Could it be Lara Bingle is on a romantic holiday with Danny Cipriani? The sometime bikini babe is taking a wellearned international break after Dancing with the Stars, and has been tweeting about going on date nights and jet ski adventure trips while reportedly holidaying in Bora Bora.

Cipriani, like the rest of the Melbourne Rebels, is also on holiday, and was spied by an eagle eyed Herald Sun reader queuing for a Pacific-bound flight.

LARA BINGLE: SUNNY GIRL

She has more than 150 pairs, so it’s no wonder the gorgeous Lara Bingle wanted her own sunglasses range, as she tells OK!

She’s one of the most talked-about Aussie stars and one of our fave style icons.

Not a week goes by in the OK! office where we don’t pour over pictures of her in the latest Balenciaga boots or Ellery blazer, so it’s no surprise that we jumped at the chance to chat to the 24-year-old about her new role as a sunglasses designer!

‘Sunglasses are something I’ve loved forever,’ she says. ‘So when ROC asked me to be the face of the brand, as well as design my own range, I was like, "Yes please!"’

Proving she's more than just a pretty face, Lara, who's currently appearing in the ROC spring/summer campaign, is working hard on the designs of her own collection - Lara Bingle for ROC Eyewear - which is due to hit stores later this year. "It's going to be a mixture of classic styles with fashion-forward shapes thrown in', she reveals.

The gorgeous model cites celebrities such as Chloe Sevigny and Kate Moss as inspiration, and admits to owning almost 150 pairs of sunglasses - pieces she's collected from her travels and markets.

'Doing ROC and a sunglasses range is only the beginning', Lara says. 'I love fashion , I enjoy being creative and it's something I'm really interested in.' Her next project is a beauty book with her besties and make-up artist, Max May - and if the trends she inspires day after day are anything to go by, we're tipping the coffee-table book and her new sunglasses range won't be on the shelves for long!

FUTURE'S BRIGHT FOR SUNNY LARA

Lara Bingle took another step towards the sunglass-designing career she's long talked about by hosting the launch of ROC Eyewear's new range on Wednesday night.

Bingle's buddies, including Justin Hemmes and gal pal Alexandra Agoston-O'Connor, Tyler Atkins, Kate Waterhouse and Nathan Jolliffe and others turned up in force at Tom Dunn's Darlinghurst gallery - before some such as Hemmes and Laura Csortan legged it down to the Lady Gaga show.

Bingle tweeted yesterday about "my new range" - which apparently means she will design her own four-piece range in the future. Hemmes meanwhile turned up with two dates, but he looked to only have eyes for his recent girlfriend Agoston-O'Connor.

MODEL TURNED MENTOR

She has tried her hand at modelling, ice skating and dancing and now it looks as though Lara Bingle has found a new role - as mentor.

Bingle yesterday made a guest appearance on the forthcoming series of Australia's Next Top Model to offer some advice on the pitfalls of fame to the latest batch of contestants.

Bingle was quick to brand her decision to flip the bird to photographers from the balcony of her ex-fiance Michael Clarke's Bondi Beach apartment last year as one of her greatest regrets.

While on the subject she also cautioned the attentive young women to think twice about becoming engaged to a famous person at age 19.

"She was really candid and very honest and talked about some of the mistakes she has made," said Australia's Next Top Model host Charlotte Dawson, who hosted the mentoring session at The Ivy.

"She's been through some highs and incredible lows (but) felt comfortable talking."

Also near the top of Bingle's regret list was being betrayed by a former best friend she didn't care to name.

"She said don't be surprised if one of your best friends sells you out to the media," said Dawson. "She said don't retweet a friend's obscene yet funny tweet."

The interview will air on Fox 8 later in the year.

LARA BINGLE'S HOT FOR RUGBY HUNK DANNY CIPRIANI

Lara Bingle has denied she and rugby bad boy Danny Cipriani are an item but the Daily Telegraph's Confidential can today confirm otherwise.

We can reveal the couple have spent the week playing a game of cat and mouse with photographers, desperate not to be spotted together.

At one point on Monday, Lara even called police after paparazzi caused her and Cipriani to remain holed up in her Darling Point apartment.

They were first linked last month after meeting in Melbourne, where Cipriani played for Super 15 side the Rebels and where Bingle appeared on Channel 7's Dancing With The Stars.

A night of "canoodling" at the city's Laika Bar was followed by the usual denials.

"Danny and I are friends," she said last week.

"I am just continually linked to these men because I have a lot of male friends."

However, on Sunday afternoon the couple were spotted with friends at Barrio Chino Mexican cantina in Kings Cross. By 10pm they were alone and spent the next two hours cuddling at a long table away from the bar. At midnight they left separately and went back to Darling Point.

The next morning they emerged about 9.30am, only to flee back inside when they spotted photographers.

Bingle then drove off, leaving him alone in the apartment. After calling police, who arrived and left within 10 minutes, Cipriani then went to great lengths to leave unseen.

At midnight a limo backed up to the apartment block and he dived into the back seat, covering himself with a jacket before speeding off.

BINGLE SILENT ON MCKENNEY BLAST

Dancing With The Stars eliminated contestant Lara Bingle returned to Sydney last night but refused to be drawn on judge Todd McKenney's comments.

She arrived from Melbourne about 5pm, looking surprisingly fresh in a fur vest and tight jeans. Bingle had the boot stuck into her on Sunday night by McKenney.

The 24-year-old last night remained tight-lipped about the remarks, only commenting that her upcoming sunglasses range is "amazing".

The former WAG said this week she has been overwhelmed by offers since appearing on DWTS, including from Channel 7, but again refused to say more last night.

LARA INUNDATED WITH OFFERS

Lara Bingle said she has been inundated with offers since appearing on DWTS, some of them from the Seven Network.

"I have been offered a lot of things outside of Seven and at Seven," she said. "I have to think about what it is I want to do next. I have a sunglass range and a beauty book in the works, so I am just going to concentrate on them and on building my brand."

As to whether she would join the cast of Home And Away, Bingle said she'd go to acting school in LA before taking any role on an Australian soap straight off.

BINGLE KEEPS SMILING DESPITE DWTS DEFEAT

Lara Bingle didn't stop herself having fun last night despite being eliminated from Dancing with the Stars, joining some of the rest of the DWTS gang for the after show drink up.

Manu Feildel was once again trying to be the life and soul of the party even gently cupping the back of Daniel MacPherson's head and gazing lovingly into his eyes.

With Manu Feidel the phrase "anything that moves" comes to mind!

This morning Bingle has been a bit emotional. The model was dancing on behalf of a Bowel Cancer Charity, an illness which her Dad died from.

She tweeted "This show was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I know my father would be proud."

LARA BINGLE ELIMINATED FROM DANCING WITH THE STARS

The latest celebrity to be booted off Dancing with the Stars says the show has changed her life.

Model and former WAG Lara Bingle left the dancefloor and brushed off waiting journalists, sheilding her face in the arm of her dance partner Carmelo Pizzino, after she was eliminated from DWTS last night.

Bingle finally reappeared after most camera crews had left the Global Television studio in South Melbourne.

Dressed down in a white T-shirt and black trousers, she said she was planning to celebrate the night.

"I feel so blessed to have made it this far. Carmelo has taught me so much. I've changed, 360 degrees,'' she said.

But while Bingle was full of praise for her dance partner - she refused to talk about the other man in her life - Melbourne Rebels recruit Danny Cipriani.

"I don't want to talk about my personal life,'' she said bluntly.

Earlier in the night, Bingle was blasted for a lack of conviction on the dancefloor.

"Lara, you have natural ability but ultimately you're dull. You don't have the X factor,'' judge Todd McKenney said.

McKenney's criticisms of Bingle sent fans into a frenzy on Twitter, mostly in defence of Bingle.

Fashion designer Peter Morrissey weighed into the TV fight, tweeting: “With those judges comments it should be called ‘Dancing With The Scars.’”

Judge Helen Richey told Bingle: "We don't know who the bloody hell Lara is."

'Bingle's exit topped off a stressful night on DWTS, with French chef Manu Feildel also in the bottom two.

Seven newsreader Samantha Armytage also copped criticism similar to that suffered by Brynne Edelsten, with judge Josh Horner describing her cha cha outfit as "a bedazzled car wash''.

Contestants were given just 40 minutes to set a routine to music, with many couples not knowing their song.

1. Bingle and Cipriani Dine Together?

A romance is blossoming between Lara Bingle and English rugby union player Danny Cipriani, with the pair eating at Nobu at Crown on Friday.

The couple were at the Japanese restaurant with another couple enjoying a quiet dinner, relaxed and smiling the whole night.

Both Bingle and Cipriani are saying they are just friends, they have been spending every minute they can together in Melbourne when Bingle isn't rehearsing for Dancing With The Stars.

If Cipriani was to watch his new love interest in the audience of Dancing With The Stars it would be tonight, because she is tipped to leave the competition by bookmakers.

Meanwhile some are saying it is tense back stage at Dancing With The Stars, in particular between Hayley Bracken and Bingle.

Judge Todd McKenney confirmed the environment was tense.

"You can certainly feel friction," he said.

"Almost across the board, there's a much more fractious vibe in the studio. It seems much more genuinely competitive and there is not so much of the warm, cuddly camaraderie that there normally is."

The "are they, aren't they" relationship between Lara Bingle and rugby pin-up Danny Cipriani continues.

The rebellious Melbourne Rebel recruit this week was overheard gushing about the former cricket WAG, but was coy about his relationship status.

At the Weary Dunlop Rugby Club lunch and Melbourne Rebels end-of-season awards ceremony on Thursday at Crown, Cipriani was overheard giving the age-old catchcry of "we're good friends" and "we're getting to know each other" when asked about the Dancing with the Stars beauty.

The pair recently have been spied getting, er, better acquainted at Melbourne nightspots Laika Bar and the Hotel Barkly after Bingle's performances on the reality dance show.

While Bingle has said Cipriani is a "nice guy", onlookers claim Cipriani is smitten with the sometime bikini babe whenever she hits town.

But the UK rugby import and ladies man could be in for a battle to win her affections.

Michael Clarke's former fiancee, who celebrated her birthday on Wednesday, is still continuing her cryptic Twitter affair with US singer Jason Derulo.

Cipriani has taken a liking to our Aussie leading ladies since splitting with buxom British pin-up Kelly Brook and relocating to Melbourne.

Lara Bingle has credited Dancing with the Stars for changing her life.

Bingle, who celebrated her 24th birthday on Wednesday, admitted she had been on a "massive journey" since the show began, and credited her dance partner, Carmelo Pizzino.

"From the beginning to now, I have changed as a person -- 150%," she said.

"I used to be a late person; I'm not any more. I'm very organised. I never realised how much you could fit in one day! Things like that just everything's changed," she said.

IT'S BIRTHDAY BUBBLES FOR LARA BINGLE

It was sushi and sake and, of course, French champagne on the menu for Lara Bingle, who celebrated her 24th birthday with a mixed bunch of pals at Toko on Wednesday night.

Arriving about 7pm and flanked by her mum and make-up artist pal Max May, Bingle - sporting her trademark middle part - strode into the Surry Hills eatery and was soon joined by BFF Kyle Sandilands and bar baron Justin Hemmes, as well as Erin McNaught, her boyfriend Nathan Joliffe, socialite Tyler Atkins and Bingle's DWTS partner Carmelo Pizzino.

In spite of their reputation as party animals, spies said the group kept things relatively subdued.

"There was one, maybe two, bottles of champagne, some sake and a few beers but nothing too wild," said one spy. "Everyone took turns giving her a present and after dinner everyone pretty much left.

Lara spent the day enjoying a late afternoon drink with her mum and friends at the Winery in Surry Hills, though she must have been starving because when we snapped her earlier she was eating one of her birthday cards while driving her car.

Among her presents was a photographic ode to Kate Moss by Mario Testino, which she clutched tightly like an excited little girl who couldn't wait till she got home to look through it.
