Lara Bingle celebrated her 23rd birthday in New York last week, not Cabo; Mexico as wrongly reported. The model is currently in New York searching for new modelling opportunities.
Surrounded by a few close friends, Bingle celebrated her 23rd birthday in a lowkey way at a New York diner last week.
Bingle, who has been living the high life in the Big Apple for more than a month, enjoyed Mexican fare at the funky corner restauarant, La Esquina, near The Bowery in downtown Manhattan.
Don't worry though, it wasn't some kind of dodgy Seinfeld-esque diner. The venue is fast becoming a celebrity hot spot, so Bingle must have had some insider knowledge.
Travelling companion Tallie Nagel joined her, as did model Tyler Atkins.

LARA BINGLE'S LAYWER RELEASES STATEMENT
Lara Bingle's lawyers have released a statement involving the settlement reports since the break up of Bingle and Clarke.
Reports suggested on Tuesday that Bingle's mother encouraged the 22-year-old to go for a seven-figure settlement following her break-up with the Australian cricket star.
The settlement would include the value of her Aston Martin and $200,000 engagement ring and lawyers were "thrashing out" the payout behind closed doors, the article said.
But in a statement released through her lawyer Patrick George, Bingle has said the claims are "offensive and defamatory".
"Lara's lawyers do not, as reported, have and have not had any instructions to battle for Michael's millions," Mr George said in the statement.
"Michael and Lara resolved their property arrangements amicably some time ago and remain good friends.
"The suggestion that Lara is being encouraged by her mother to pursue Michael's money is offensive and defamatory.
"These baseless stories are hurtful and damaging, and it is time Lara and her family were left alone and allowed to move on."
Clarke's camp confirmed the matter had been dealt with privately.

LARA BINGLE'S NEW YORK MINUTE
Lara Bingle's very much-publicised trip to the Big Apple is under way. And, boy, did she arrive in style! Joined by best friend Tallie Nagel, Bingle left on a Qantas flight to New York, via LA, on Wednesday morning.Hiding her face with designer sunglasses as she left Sydney, the model said she was excited about her American adventure, but didn't want to go into detail.
Her departure was low-key, but her arrival was anything but, with Bingle suddenly mustering up an entourage to help haul her Louis Vuitton luggage through JFK Airport.
But she hid her face from cameras as she walked to her chauffer-driven car.
She and a young female friend walked to a waiting SUV while her chauffer pushed her trolley, loaded with half a dozen suitcases.
"I'm just here to work and have a holiday," she said on her arrival.
Asked what sort of work, she said: "Just work. I don't want any press back home."
Bingle - who checked into the trendy Standard Hotel, a destination popular among young celebrities - and Aussie WAGs.
And she's thrown herself into the NYC lifestyle, if our photos are anything to go by, with Bingle shopping up a storm at high-end store Intermix, taking in Sex And The City 2 and striding about in sexy black leggings and designer heels.
"She's just happy to get away," a friend told us. "She's on holidays as well; it's not just work. They're staying in a hotel but they're going to be looking for an apartment."

LARA'S HEADING TO NY
After dumping her agent Max Markson two weeks ago, Lara Bingle has booked a ticket to the Big Apple where she is frantically chasing modelling opportunities in one of fashion's most cut-throat cities.
The model, who turns 23 next month, plans to spend almost three months shopping her Aussie tan to swimwear companies.
"I know I need to build up people's respect and I'm going to have to start at the bottom and work up," she told Grazia a fortnight ago.
Bingle told friends she loves the city where ex-fiance Michael Clarke two years ago proposed marriage.
In fact they almost crossed paths last week, with Clarke telling pals he was thinking of stopping in New York for a few days but it seems he changed his mind - he was home in Bondi by the weekend.
Bingle has started searching for a replacement for Markson, with sources claiming she met publicist Maria Farmer before flying to New York.
