Model Lara Bingle is returning to Australia's TV screens as the face of a new bowel cancer awareness campaign.

In the advertisements, officially launched in Sydney on Friday, Ms Bingle calls for Australians to "love your family" and get tested for the cancer which is treatable if detected early.

Ms Bingle became an ambassador for Bowel Cancer Australia after her father died from the cancer in 2008.
