Just when it seemed Lara Bingle might spend the rest of the year waiting for an offer of work, one has arrived from Channel 7.
Bingle, who proved herself a surprise talent on the ice for Channel 9's Dancing On Ice series in 2006, is among the first signings to Seven's latest series of Dancing With The Stars.
Confidential has learned that Bingle is likely to enter the dance rehearsal studios along with the rest of the yet-to-be-announced celebrity cast next month to prepare for the ballroom dancing-inspired show which makes its return to air around June. Producers are currently in the throes of choosing a partner for the petite model.
Even if Bingle is eliminated from the series in the earliest rounds, she is guaranteed $50,000 from the appearance - what is believed to be one of her first major earnings for the year.
Yesterday her rep Titus Day was not available for comment on the offer and Seven declined to comment, stating that the network was some weeks away from confirming the celebrity line-up for the 11th series of the show.
A second certain signing is buxom Melbourne celebrity housewife Brynne Edelsten, the wife of one-time disgraced medico Geoffrey Edelsten.
Although Bingle aquitted herself well on the ice almost five years ago when she finished runner-up to Jake Wall.
If Bingle progresses to the finals, she could potentially make as much as $200,000.
Dancing With The Stars returns to Seven this June.
