Lara Bingle may finally be lucky in love with her man Sam Worthington but she could be faced with life as a singleton when it comes to finding a manager.
The model has had seven companies look after her since she hit the spotlight in 2006 with her So Where The Bloody Hell Are You? tourism campaign.
It all began in 2006 with the go-to model agent Priscilla Leighton-Clark, the woman responsible for landing her the tourism campaign, then the 26-year-old enlisted the help of none other than celebrity PR guru Max Markson — and from there the list quickly grew.
Since then the Cotton On model has had a plethora of people looking after her publicity and endorsement deals, including 6 Degrees founder Titus Day, BFF Hermione Underwood, Tailor Maid duo Sally Brown and Chrissy Biasotto, and the founder of Miranda Kerr’s skincare range, Kora, George Moskos, then even one of his junior staff members.
The latest woman to help Bingle with her career aspirations is Worthington’s agent, Jess Carrera.
Carrera, however, will be looking after Bingle’s publicity and won’t be managing her.
Bingle, who will grace the cover of Cleo magazine on the newsstands tomorrow, said she now recognises how crucial it is to have good people around her.
“I’m taking positive steps forward and at the centre of this is my desire to make my own decisions and make the right ones,” Bingle told Cleo magazine.
“I’ve realised how important it is for me to build a good team of collaborators around me.
“I’ve learnt so much in a short period of time — this will only better prepare me for the future.”
Bingle also revealed she would be launching a self-titled charity foundation to “empower younger girls, the next generation”.
“I love Sydney and it will always be my home, but I am going to jump in the deep and be a bit of a gypsy this year,” Bingle said.
“It’s a nice feeling to embrace being pulled in new directions. The Lara Bingle Foundation is one of them.
“I feel like now is the right time to welcome the opportunities around me.”
