ERIN AND LARA JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST BOWEL CANCER

We don't just run photos of pretty girls on these two pages for nothing. No way.

We are more than happy to promote Channel 9 rugby league reporter Erin Molan and model Lara Bingle if it helps support their fight against bowel cancer.

Erin has joined Lara as Bowel Cancer Australia ambassadors after her sister Sarah was diagnosed with the terrible disease at the age of 29.

"I had no idea that bowel cancer could affect young women like Sarah," Erin said. "She was 29 years old and enjoying life with her husband and two little children when she was diagnosed. That was two years ago and it continues to have a huge impact on our family.

"Unfortunately, most people don't know enough about bowel cancer although it is the second biggest cancer killer of Australian men and women. It claims more lives than breast or prostate cancer."

More than 14,000 Australians are diagnosed with the disease each year, although fewer than 1000 are under the age of 50. Lara's father, Graham, was taken by the disease in 2008.
