Last year was a tough one for Lara Bingle and it didn't end well after she lost her driving licence.
The model lost her licence late last year after losing one too many demerit points for speeding.
It's believed that Bingle is off the road for six months.
"It wasn't one hit, it was for a number of random speeding fines that added up to take away her licence," a friend said.
"She gets her licence back around May."
Soon after she lost her licence, Bingle headed to New York and Los Angeles, where she spent time with her rumoured love interest, singer Jason Derulo.
Bingle has done the right thing and has been seen around Sydney riding a bike.
After her very public break-up with Michael Clarke, 2010 turned out a tough year for the model.
She has indicated she has a fresh attitude and some new projects on the way.
Bingle was in a great mood this week.
"I'm so grateful," she said on Twitter.
"I'm alive and living the dream.
"I'm living my dreams, thank you."
This time last year Bingle was on the arm of Clarke at the Allan Border Medal.
All eyes will be on Clarke tomorrow night at Crown for this year's medal to see who he brings as his date.
